Anyone got any guidelines or gotchas for doing this? I've been offered a free Range Rover P38 V8 with a blown headgasket - possibly more problems. I'd like to convert it to diesel.

Obviously there's all sorts of EMS stuff to sort, but other than that and appropriate fuel pumps, is there anything in particular I need to be aware of? Can I continue to use the same fuel tank, for instance?

thinking about doing a short 4-5 day trip around the east coast of the north island over the xmas break.

Auckland to tauranga, whakatane, opotiki, gisborne, napier, back up to taupo then hamilton and back.

Any suggestions on places to stay/visit or alternative/better routes?

Have been to Tauranga plenty of times and as far down as Taupo.

Not sure if I want to go any more further south than hastings at this stage.

I'm pretty apprehensive about anecdotal advice, but I thought I'd put the question out there anyway:

Has anyone had any experience dealing with Swann Insurance?

My insurance is coming up for renewal and I have been thinking about switching to Swann. I've read the policy and nothing jumps out to me as being hugely different to my current AA policy but instead of paying 800ish per year the Swann premium is only 305 with a 12k agreed value.

Too good to be true?

Thanks everyone

So I was driving to work today and after leaving the petrol station going around a roundabout, I noticed a car in front of me spin out I quickly slowed down and before I knew it I felt my car slide straight into the curb causing this to my wheels (rear was curbed already when I got the car) and tyres

I immediately thought of a bunch of expensive repairs but thankfully it was only minor wheel damage and I'll probably need new tyres.

Just a reminder to everyone, be aware and alert.

Likely scenario was a truck refuelled and didn't put their cap back on and some diesel poured out as they went around the roundabout... The council was quick to remedy the issue of a diesel spill and I'm glad I was there to warn other drivers.
