<p>
	Hi I'm new to this forum and would like to upgrade my standard wheels with some 19" wheels from a late model X5.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Size is <span style="background-color:#f8f8f8;color:#333333;font-size:14px;">5x120<span> </span></span><br style="background-color:#f8f8f8;color:#333333;" /><span style="background-color:#f8f8f8;color:#333333;font-size:14px;">9Jx19 ET37 / 10Jx19 ET21<span> </span></span>
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone put this size on their e60/e61 and if so what size tyres?
</p>

<p>
	I do not want to use spacers.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks for your help.

	I have a small pile of components for 3-piece Work rims from Japan.
</p>

<p>
	All parts are for 30 securing bolts.
</p>

<p>
	The centres are cast (forged?) but are drilled 5x112 - Mercedes fit.
</p>

<p>
	I'd like to sort some 4x100 centres.
</p>

<p>
	Work (apparently) don't supply individual rim components... I was recently told this by the NZ Work disti - it was news to me, as a conversation I had with them (albeit a different person) a couple of years ago suggested they did. Certainly for the purposes of repairs, and so on.
</p>

<p>
	Anyway... Anyone know where I can get a set of centres made up? I was thinking somewhere like <a href="https://www.41degreewheels.co.nz" rel="external nofollow">41 Degree Wheels</a> - any other suggestions?

	I need 4 new tyres and an alignment for my '06 130i. The sizes from memory are 215/40-18 and 245/35-18. I want to ditch the run flats and switch to a regular tyre.

<p>
	Quotes so far from Tony's seem to be around $1,400 for Potenza s001. Does anyone know of any options of places where I might be able to come in under a grand?

<p>
	Hi,
</p>

<p>
	looks like a frequent point of discussion, and probably asking what has been answered already so apologies in advance
</p>

<p>
	Will finally get to run the 435i on a decent run up north in a couple of weeks and looking at repair shops for run flats ( just in case ) unsurprisingly they arent open on a Sunday
</p>

<p>
	My understanding for a minor flat there's a kit ( compressor and tyre fil type product, I dont have one ) to repair until at tyre shop back in AKL
</p>

<p>
	However some comments advise the tyre fil kills the tyre, have i misunderstood?, a weekend away that includes get stuck til tyre shop opens on Monday wont go down well with me or more importantly my passenger
</p>

<p>
	I mostly dont like the run flat ride but then maybe its just the BMW ride vs my usual cushy but by comparison slow boat Mazda
</p>

<p>
	An easy answer for all those run flat drivers out there
</p>

<p>
	Thanks
</p>

<p>
	Hi all,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Looking for some guidance to help me diagnose some vibration I am getting from my E90 335i. Never noticed anything previously, then got a new set of tires all round, replacing the runflats with S001s. Now get a vibration/shake through the steering wheel at speeds from 90kph+. Also sometimes get some vibration under braking, I don't recall noticing this before, could be related or a coincidence. I assumed it was a balancing issue so took it to the tire place across the road for them to check, they rebalanced but said it was pretty good (I'm assuming the place that fitted the tires in the first place also did a balance). Made a small improvement but there is still noticeable vibration there. My question is do I take it to a specialist wheel alignment/balancing place for another look (do they have better equipment than your local Firestone etc), or do I start looking at other things suspension etc..?
</p>

	Hi guys,
</p>

<p>
	I was curious to see where people buy their tires and if anyone has any recommendations for a good tire shop (installation and balancing with good equipment). Looks like there a fair amount of options with local tire shops, chain shops and hyperdrive.

<p>
	Hi all, can anyone recommend a retailer in NZ where I can buy a spare tire kit for my E60 540i? I'm fairly certain the tires on it when I bought it (245/40/ZR18 Nankang AS-1's front, 245/40/ZR18 Nankang NS-2's rear) are not run flats, and in any case if they are then I'll get stuck anyway as places I drive to on the weekends are often way more than the recommended 80km max from a garage. The boot has a well already for a space saver spare; all I need is to buy one to put in it along with a jack etc.
</p>

<p>
	Cheers.

<p>
	Has anyone gone for the bigger alloy at rear look?
</p>

<p>
	ie front 225/45/17 &amp; Rear 225/40/18
</p>

<p>
	Since the rear has much more "body" compared to front, same size alloy makes rear alloy look smaller.
</p>

<p>
	These days, some models have bigger rear wheels which make the car look more proportional from the side view, however their tyre sidewall seems to be about the same which means rear alloy with tyre will have bigger overall diameter. I'm sure everything is calibrated correctly by engineers.
</p>

<p>
	One thing I wonder is, if I go for Front 225/45/17 &amp; Rear 225/40/18, the alloy will look more proportional but I don't know how the smaller rear tyre sidewall will look since I can't increase the sidewall height as I need to keep to the same overall diameter.
</p>

<p>
	Just can't imagine how rear with look with less tyre sidewall, will it look funny? I know if I used 225/45/18 then it will looks better since nothing has changed except for bigger alloy.
