Intake and valve cover ready. Also finished sanding the spoiler but didn't get any photos. Will get some later when I do paint. Swap should be starting in 2 weeks, as soon as my last few bits arrive.

Suggest this is pinned as a useful resource .... Go to http://www.bimmer.work/ and punch in the last 7 digits of your VIN and wunderbar! You get the factory spec of your vehicle! Checked my E53 and it looks to be spot on. Neat tool.

FYI E30 and E36 are the same. If on budget, pick a part should have a few E36 in their yards

yeah i don't see 7 or 6 either for that matter. tidy sure, but tidy in base spec and with 4 doors is not particularly sort after. You can buy manual 325i for 7, SEs and motorsports too. I think 4, if you get it, take the money and run.

no its half way being installed into my E30 lol.

They haven't responded to a $400 worth request for stickers, they must not care, so not stepping on toes if you did decide to. only trouble is getting a vector file of the logo. So is Neighbourly not the pyramid scheme i thought it was? i get junk mail every other week from them, oh yeah can't be junk mail i have a no circ sign, its addressed "to the householder", cunning way to get around the sign.

Dude no, i thought of all your cars the 750i would be the one to keep. Anyone can buy a 740i on TM any day, but a SWB 750? Nope.

Hi guys, Unfortunately the for sale section is going to the dogs again as far as adherence to the basic rules. As of today onwards the moderators will be removing any thread that doesn't have the basic requirements for a for sale thread without warning. This applies to everyone including us mods/admins. If you find your thread gone in the for sale section, this will be why. I have updated the rules in the For Sale section here http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/20961-please-read-before-posting-an-item-for-sale/

You will need 1/2" rather than 3/8. Even at normal torque it is a load for 3/8. I've even split a Stahlwille !/2" socket on tight nuts before. Use impact sockets now.

Standing on my deck watching a herc turn finals over my paddocks into the sunset, and hearing the dull roar of reverse thrust as it touches down. I love living within the OH circuit.

Car is sold subject to a 'supposed expert' checking it out (perhaps it's one of you guys who seem to know so much about stuff you've never laid eyes on). Happy buyer, happy (but grieving) seller. Thanks for your support Jon and Bruce.

People on Facebook ranting about Facebook. Just cancel your account and spare us all. Otherwise you deserve all you get. - Facebook free since 2004 and proud of it.

To me the RHD conversion devalues the car. Means a lot of non-M3 parts were used to complete it. If you're asking drug money for a car like this it needs to be completely original and unmolested. Good luck to the seller -IMO at this price you would be buying it as a very long term investment to make any sort of worthwhile return on your money.

I was drifting down there in the 70's in a '39 Ford V8 coupe & my mate had a Willys 4 door that we always tried to roll but we couldn't

It was good times between 97 and 2003. Mostly harmless. Then fast cars got cheap.

Just some easy stuff for tonight, hated my Aluminum BMW Performance accelerator pedal as it was bubbling. So I got the Sander out and gave a good sand! Came out very nice and saved myself some money in replacing them with new ones.

Yes it would be registered as 2016 (date of first registration). But its still a 1972 car. Anyone who tried to sell it and advertised it as a 2016 would be a f**kwit. Now in the case of the OP, it's what? 2 years out? The seller probably isn't even aware or intending on deceiving anyone. Anyway, who gives a f**k. You're giving me a headache reading this sh*t.

2010 is the year it was registered overseas, year of first registered in new country does not change. Even if you import a 25 year old car, the year will remain 1991, you can't advertised it as a 2016. That car is actually imported into NZ on Jul 2014 and registered in NZ on Dec 2014. Now that Jan 2008 Germany built car probably took 6 months after it was built to be shipped to Japan then from Jun 2008 to Jul 2010, it sat in the showroom until someone purchased it then it was registered.
