went for a strole through picapart the other day to get a bumper for a honda, when i spotted a car i recognized it was a white ac schnitzer e36 318tii knew it lowwerd but i didnt think it would have a set of bilstein adjustable coil overs. so for 170 smackaroos the coupe is getting another up grade. i didnt come out with what i was after though but i think im still better off.

IMO you're probably better off buying new. Unless you *have* to have mtech springs and shocks

Merry Christmas to me... After 2 visits to view car, I made the offer and it is mine... a 3rd trip on the buses and trains to Auckland to drive it south.. I'm essentially the 3rd private owner, last owner 10 years, with a pile of receipts... So far it's had a damn good clean (wasn't even vacuumed), 2 oils leaks fixed (filler cap and sump drain plug), the lights sanded and polished, the interior mirror glass replaced, and more parts on the way... and more and more cleaning and detailing.... Drives good... mostly everything works... but got a big list of things to do.... wheels, emblems, windscreen trim, fan clutch, filters etc etc.

Hopefully there is no need to have to describe what a Z4M is on this forum. Only 5,070 M roadsters were made so this is quite a rare beast. With a factory 0-100kph time of 5.0sec this is a fast car This Z4M was made in Feb 2006, first owner bought new in Japan in May 2006, sold at auction Mar 2008 as grade 4.5 at 20,567km to its 1st NZ owner who mostly kept it under a dust cover until I purchased in Feb 2013 at 22,264km. This "M" has virtually every factory option it was possible to order. I also acquired a rare factory Z4 hardtop in Titan Silber Metallic (worth $8k new!) available for $4k should the buyer wish to purchase it. I have retro-fitted NZ Sat Nav, fitted a new hi-capacity battery, new rear tyres (German made Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2), had annual wheel alignments & a recent full service (Castrol Edge 10W-60) and front brake discs skimmed & new OEM pads. As I work from home the kms have been kept ultra-low!! Silver grey (silbergrau) paintwork with sepang brown nappa leather "M" sport seats & madeira nutwood dashboard/centre console trim. 3 keys, leather owner's pouch with service book, Z4 & Z4M owner's books. When new the Z4M was MUCH pricier at NZ$162,900 than lesser Z4 (a 3.0 auto was $106,900) but this one is now very competitively priced for sale (compared to other inferior high mileage examples currently for sale in NZ). In the UK much higher mileage examples are selling for up to NZ$55k, even a coupe done only 3km for NZ$88.5k! The last known N.Z. Z4M sale was for @$55k in Nov 2016 of a red roadster travelled 8km. I'd be open to a NEAR offer on my ask price of $49,995, not silly offers.

Stu, details of M5's at M5portal.com And more has been paid, up around $40k recently. I see in the UK prices have risen lately. With help from a couple of M5 owners in Auckland (Martin and Glenn) I have recorded E39 M5's in NZ as they have appeared, now 31 (so far) including your car. You have an excellent model to work on, I've read on M5board.com that some owners have topped 300k miles with reliability.
