Have in the workshop a certain Silver E30 M325i from Christchurch that had the 37K price tag attached a few weeks back. Have to say it is a stunning car, drives brilliantly. Is fully rebuilt but still can't come to terms with the price, although talking to the new owner it was somewhat less than the asking. Even still, has a few things needing sorting, my mission in the next few days....

I have just had a visit from a Mate of mine, with I think would be the most original & Immaculate M325 in NZ, he has owned it 17 years, it’s NZ new & I think he is the third owner, it has only done 50000klm

What kind of fund are they referring to? Trust fund? Slush fund? Consolidated fund? Is the i8 in fact the preserve of the Trustafarian? I think we should be told.

    I still have trouble associating $145, 000 with a 1.5 litre 3 cylinder car!

Not sure who "these clowns" are, but my decision to buy an ev was 90% financial, any environmental benefit is a bonus. Of course the financial benefit only applies the first time you switch from an ice car to an ev, but for me it means the vehicle has a payback period of approx 4 years. Also the environmental argument depends largely on where the vehicle is used and how the electricity is genereated, NZ is a special place that generates most of its electricity from renewables and imports 100% of its petrol, so I'm happy with my decision, everyone else can make their own!

Wow very nice e34. Although that car in the stanceworks pic would handle like a wheel barrow. Looks like it's setup for a nascar race?

Put up a shade sail in the attempt to stave off the bee poo bombardments this coming summer.... Also over the weekend took the Monaro up to Auckland for a "End of Holden Production Cruise" - Not BMW but thought I'd mention it...

Managed a little bit over the weekend on wiring up of the JB4 additional injector controller, getting the pumps into the tank and wired up, all hoses connected etc. Almost there. Managed to get the mirror attached to the base plate for the RHS. Ill mount it up and see how if looks, then make adjustments from there, ready for scanning. Its pretty solid/strong so far, perfect for playing around with, using marine ply then thermoset plastic, let it set then drill into it for the mounts. Then I can play around with the mirror angle. Bog & beatification comes later...

a little below the "ASKING PRICE" in the international market -there is a glut of these for sale, and a lot of them are sale proof- unrealistic vendors not moving to meet the market. At the asking price you could buy several cars that would satisfy the most ardent enthusiast amongst us and still have several thousand dollars left in your wallet!
