I did investigate this option and had a e39 v8 subframe to play around with. I decided against it because it would require using the crappy e39 steering box, which was not a compromise I was prepared to make. Also, I don't know how badly it messes up the suspension geometry.

Cool I'll make a trip to Zebra and see what I can find. If I can sort this out then you'll see some good burnouts next time.

It's an aftermarket electric fan using the E36 fan switch wired to the earlier switch on one. I think it's just not strong enough to cool efficiently. Might be able to squeeze one size larger in. Also your old silver E28 with M88 was there, he was doing high 14s. I reckon he could have gotten more but wasn't pushing it too hard.

It has a slightly different tone - if you youtube it you will be able to see some videos of it in action. Nothing like the CSL intake but perceptibly louder and deeper if run a stock exhaust system. It’s a bolt on application so it’ll work without tuning. However as with anything related to this motor, anything with a tune will benefit. If you are looking for huge gains however, look away lol! Anyone that tells you 20hp+ from a s54 from an intake is lying.

Sulco Tools or SnapOn will have them 7 8 9 10 11 12 & 13mm spanners are required to cover work on all Euro brake systems. Follow your damaged brake line back to the next fitting and take it off with the correct spanner and just get a second hand brake line from the wreckers. Do not use a gas torch or vice grips when working on brake components
