I take big metal parts to a steel scrapyard and the rest goes to landfill. If I'm feeling particularly environmentally conscious I'll wash them in a bath of degreaser before chucking them in the trash.

The Touring had a quick visit to Auckland City BMW to get the Koni Sport shocks installed and a new steering coupler to remedy the dead on centre feel. These items combined have tightened up the feel and handling of the car significantly. I also managed to pick up a set of near new Style 350M wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Back to the OEM(+) look

Went over the interior of my e46 with screwdriver and tightened all the interior trim screws i could find to minimise rattling. some good results, not dsh squeaks and less random rattle in my ears whilst driving,, nearly no rattles at ll now so i'm happy.. However discovered the glove box interior has a big crack in it around one of the screw points not sure if replaceable

Hi all Antony here from Christchurch. Got myself a 2007 335i recently and thought i would join the club and sift through some post. Looking at doing a few things in the future but just going to enjoy it for awhile. Looking at doing downpipe, intercooler and tune in the future as well as intake valve clean? (not sure on method yet). If anyone knows someone who would be able to do tune please let me know. Thanks

Brilliant idea seeing as what I do with my vehicles is my own choice and if it doesn't please anyone else then frankly tough. deal with it. there are plenty more injustices in the world other than someones opinion of what should be done to another person's vehicle. Just trying to sell the wheels but if they don't then hey, on the touring they go.

Got the e36 going for the first time in a few years. Apart from needing a fuel pump, started first pop

Thats interesting to know. Mines a 95. I dont know a lot about the E36 chassis and haven't had this one up on the hoist yet to know whats wrong with it. The symptoms fit with a stuffed guibo but I guess I wont know until I can actually get under it for a look. Just had a look on realoem and it appears I do have the guibo(universal Joint). BIG thanks to Andy who spotted a bit of missing trim in the pics and sent it to me gratis. I owe ya for that one.

CBF started its own thread so here’s a big poat, picked up another members silver 540i MSport with a damaged engine off trademe a couple weeks ago, this weekend I got both cars out to my parents farm and pulled both m62s from the silver 540i (chain slipped) and my old black 540i (electric issues) and swapped the good engine into into the silver body. Cleaned it up and reassembled the interior whenever it rained and after refilling fluids etc I managed to drive it home today! Safe to say my hands are f****d but we’ll worth the effort and experience! New tyres tomorrow and need to figure out how to get the OEM Head unit going again next. Pics:
