Yet again! This topic rears it's ugly head every couple of years it seems. Auckland Council - GET REAL! Nearby residents - GET A LIFE! Western Springs was there before any current residents - they chose to buy/ live nearby & now cry about the "inconvenience" Diddims! What next? Eden Park & the Zoo as well?

If these nimbys moved next to the airport and complained about the noise the council would laugh at them, but because its motorsport the council is all ears.

^^ Agreed. Akin to townies moving to rural setting and crying about all sorts of sh*t.

19in CSL's on while I swap tyres around on the 18in sets. Look a bit weird on these show wheels with all the aero on. Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

Funnily enough the Palmerston North speedway is right in the middle of town, and there are no dramas because the council fully supports it. Rather than complain, the neighbours embrace it as part of the character of the area. It's been there far longer than most residents. From my experience over the last 3 months in Auckland there seems to be a large proportion of the population here who feel entitled, and want everything for nothing, and they are the ones making it an issue.

Oh no Toyotas :/ Any results to post up?

The point is that it wasn't an urban area. Urbanisation came later. If the council would like to provide an alternative venue - which they appear to have no intention of doing - then it might be a different matter.

Way better than Mt Smart, and way bigger capacity. The Springs has seen crowds of over 80k for the biggest concerts - almost double what Mt Smart can handle.

Hi Guys, I have been reading up here for a while and I am convinced that I want an e46 M3. A friend of mine convinced me with 1 heck of a ride in his CSL, although I wont be looking for a CSL. While I tend to like the simplicity of manual, I really enjoyed the SMG feeling so if you have a good example of either, please contact me. My wish list is pretty normal, but not set in stone. Preferable to a 2004+ model, mid to low kms so that there is life in her still, and a well serviced example with proof in the servicing book. I dont mind non dealer servicing, as long as it has been done by a well known BMW Mechanic. Relatively stock if possible, although I wouldnt mind an exhaust system and airbox upgrade. Lastly I am flexible on price, happy to wait for the right example to come along. Please flick me a txt on 021750571 if you have a good example (or know of a good one!) up for sale. Zayne

So I’ve done about 3500kms. Average consumption is 11.4L/100km. Long distance motorway running is spectacular. Consistently 8L/100km. Putting the hammer down however does make the fuel gauge move faster downwards!

Generic "heavy duty" car wash from super cheap, foam gun, Luxio wheel cleaner stuff (like dragons breath) and a water blaster. Was surprised how well it cleaned up too. Even BMW stickers are LL04 rated...
