Hey folks, Hugo here from Auckland. Got back into a Beemer on Friday. Beautiful Sapphire Black Metallic F12 650i. Past BMWs include an E65 LCI 740i, E64 645ci, E39 540i. Was an active member of a BMW forum before moving to NZ, and looking to get back into it :-) Some mods I've got planned: * Wireless charging sleeve in armrest storage (designing it myself) * Coding folding mirrors, remote roof operation, alarm lock beep (cable is in the mail) * iDrive NBT-Evo retrofit (working out the cost) She is a beauty. Bertone Spicup. Very similar front-end treatment to the Alfa Romeo Montreal (which debuted as a prototype twp years earlier) and was also designed by Gandini at Bertone. Gandini was very fond of that treatment. He also used it on the Lamborghini Jarama.

Just purchased my first ever European car on Friday. I only piad $800 for it the oil is lovely and clean and so is the engine.. (from what i can see looking down the oil cap) the interior is a bit rough and appears to have been poorly re assembled at some point in its life. Its only been 2 days with my new BMW and i am really enjoying the handling, and the cool little differences BMW have in the design of their cars that sets them apart from the rest. It a 1996 E36 318iS (see pic) Thanks for taking time to read this and i look forwards to getting to know users. Thanks

Ok, after much deliberation on what to replace an E38 with. I've gone with the S8 Audi. Keeping the Silver E38, can't part with that. I looked at a few E65s and after throwing up in my mouth consistently, I decided I needed to look elsewhere. E60 550, been there. Options on large sedans with autos and pace with style are quite limited and this baby ticks all the boxes. It's a NZ New, 1 owner with full Audi service history, 140ks. love the look and the options boxes are well ticked. V10 5.2l 450hp, B&O upgrade audio, keyless entry. All the full A8 options. Drove back from Auckland, got 11.6l/100ks which was better then I thought. Included some spirited Action from the V10, sounds quiet glorious through the hills. will keep a running record of maintenance and ownership here

Ended up buying this car, thanks for keeping it in good knick. I literally saw it on TradeMe that morning... Was originally looking at a C55 AMG/Audi S5 but glad to have got an E39 for less coin and with a service history, I had originally written off buying an E39 as they were too old. Planning to keep it for a couple of years and maintain it to the same standard. Open to trading the BBS wheels for a set of standard E39 wheels (preferrably M5/M par style) if anyone is interested. Also MrDevine, do you know how to get the leather piece out holding the headunit in? Might have to drop part of the dash but can't see anywhere obvious where it was mounted.

Didn't think I would ever sell this, but with 3 cars and limited space this has to go. 1994 M3 3.0, NZ New I bought this from KwS in 2014, he did a lot to the car and so did the owner before him (an air NZ pilot based in Auckland). Vanos was done by KwS, see the extensive link here While I have had it: 1. Stereo fixed -New speakers and installed spacers and 6x9s in the rear, then had an audio guy bypass the blown factory amp. 2. AC fixed. Had it looked over by some AC guy, said he couldnt find anything obviously wrong. He regassed it, that lasted for 18 months. Regassed again last summer, still blowing ice cold now. So I suppose it just needs gas every 18-24 months? 3. Engine mounts replaced and the convertible underbody brace installed 4. Had the front valance replaced and the power steering hose replaced 18 months ago 6. New spark plug o rings and valve cover gasket by BM workshop 12 months ago. 7. Radiator and clutch fan replaced with new ones from Germany by BM workshop, rear transmission seal replaced too - both done in Jan 8. Rebuilt alternator in JAn 9. on style 42s, 8.5s all around, freshly polished. Brand new front tyres, 4mm on rears (toyo TR1 sports and Yokohama AD051s) 233ks Will include a brand new front splitter. Bad points - passenger side door card fell off - will need a retrim. Paint on the boot lid fading slightly. $17000, can come down if you bring your own wheels.
