in a recent development, flying saucers were spotted in Wellington's Eastern Suburbs this morning. The craft appeared to be made of aluminium and a ferrous metal painted to look like aluminium... despite its obvious weight, it flew, hovered, and generally disturbed BMW owners in the vicinity.

The seals on my M5 were the same front and rear. I ended up doing it myself, it was surprisingly easy. The hardest part was getting rid of the residue from the old seals which took about an hour. Install took about 5 mins.

^^^ Don't look like it. They would have to be fronts but to my knowledge the M wheels have the insignia in the centres - as yours would Martin? They are probably as mine - BBS style 65 - non staggered 8"

Hard to say on value, but it's going to be rare. Factory 325 manual with factory-fitted Mtech kit, NZ new... Won't be many of those around. $20k asking price is a lot, but with engine and gearbox-swapped cars being listed with asking prices at $14-16k, it's probably the right asking price. What it sells for is another matter.

Slightly west of that - I recently had the misfortune to have a large shipment (necessitating an NZ Customs Client Code), sent via USPS... which links with NZ Post here. That’s the weakest link. Hours (not joking) spent on the phone with various NZ Post reps. I don’t object to paying for brokerage; though I do expect something approaching *service* for my money! The crowning glory was, having paid my fees for GST, Brokerage, Insoection etc and the parcel was moving again, trying to arrange a redirect. 30 minutes on the phone with numerous reps, claiming nothing could be done until the parcel reached Highbrook. WTF? I challenged that I had no way of knowing, as the only updates were ‘regional processing’, and local Wellington inconsistent at best. Giving up, I turned to their website and found I could initiate the redirect immediately! Their call Centre staff don’t have a scooby, don’t have the right scripts, and their processes are totally broken. It took nearly a month to get my parcel. I wasn’t concerned about time to deliver, what was unreasonable was the amount of my time that NZ Post consumed. I should invoice them. /rant Contrast that with FedEx (who I usually use for shipments from MyUS.com)... Saturday morning phone call “Hi Mr Olaf, FedEx here, advising we’ve emailed you about a package that’s on its way to you out of the USA. Just call back with your credit card number, pay the import fees, and we’ll have that to you on Tuesday”. I paid Monday morning and arranged for it to be held at depot during the same call. It arrived Monday midday. FedEx don’t even charge for the brokerage! NZ Post are completely broken.

Where were your items shipping from? I'm using Kiwi Shipping (essentially Mainfreight... I think) presently and so far they seem very organised (shipping from the US by sea). I believe they have depots in the UK too, maybe elsewhere. I always felt YouShop was a bit of a rip in terms of shipping costs.

Reviving an old thread after a search. After seeking out an insurance broker (One50 Group) they have pointed us in the direction of Swann Insurance. Our premiums are greatly cheaper than with State, with less excess also. Since the last post, has anyone had any hiccups with this provider? Only thing I've come across after reading the "modern classic" policy (e91) is that they use market value. Where as for the "classic car" policy (e30 & e36) it is agreed value.

You can always use the year field to search as well as the M3 term to narrow things down a bit.

They are only different front and rear. Plug A play. If you turn ignition on with one disconnected it will throw a fault code. Clear fault codes and recheck in live data if fault persists to determine where the fault is

The BMW NZ supplied option is the Westfalia removeable tongue mounted onto an NZ made beam which includes the provision of safety chain attachments. This gives you the facility of removing the tongue to save your eyes, and shins, when not in use. There are tongues avaiable in both ball sizes 1"7/8ths and 50mm. I am currently using this bar with a canbus wiring module to integrate the PDC, etc when towing and also works correctly with LED lights on trailers on my company cars it works well. Is simple to fit and I have moved it across about four or five cars now so can do it in less than an hour.

10 August 2018. 170,136km. Replaced rear window seals (upper, and lower). Some outstanding service from Novus at 138 Adelaide Road, Wellington. Big shout out to Reuben (member on here)! My second experience with Novus, and again, very positive. I decided to get someone else to do it, after my recent experiences with the windscreen in my e46... it was the right move. So here's what a typical aged seal looks like on an e60. they're a trim part; you don't need to remove the glass to change them out. A wrinkly old seal, yesterday PS: if you're ordering the seals, there's two pieces. bottom rail (which even has a velvet seal to the bottlid), and the top (which includes the sides). There's the version (for top and bottom, respectively) for double-glazed/armoured, and the 'normal' version.

So, the landlord got a job overseas, and suddenly I have to move out in three weeks, I was not prepared for it at all, I have three cars at the moment I am not lucky enough to park on the street(broken into 7 times in the last two years, wheels stolen once, car stolen once). I will be selling one car very soon, but I still want to find a place with off street parking. And I always wanted to find flatmates that have similar interests. I am in my 20s and is an intern web developer at Auckland Uni and I will be graduating from my masters really soon. I always pay rent on time and pretty tidy and quiet. I will be going to the city every day, so it needs to be like within 30mins drive to the city. I like the computer stuff, including video games, and latest tech, I don't spend all my time in front of the computer, I like a good workout session and a nice multi-day tramp. I like cars, all kind of cars (as long as it is not stanced or riced), and I enjoy working on them. So If it sounds like we can get along, flick me a message maybe? Not sure If it is allowed to post such post here, but I figure I am more likely to find someone that share some kind of interest here.
