Very similar, the CS colour is "Lime Rock Grey" which is a little lighter than this one - Medio Grigio, which I think means "middle grey" in Italian? There are also a couple of these limited Indivudual Edition M3s in Nardo Grey which is also nice. I can see that it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, and yes it does look like they only put the primer on and forgot the top coat (do they still even use primer now..??) over it, but they do stand out a bit more than some of the more common colours. My choice would be one of the two of these that are in the E36 M3 metallic Daytona Violet.

It's been a good couple of weeks... new fixed term role started; current house in Whitby sold; new(old) house in the Hutt purchased. If only I could find a buyer for my e91... I s'pose it's true about things happening in threes huh?

https://www.trademe.co.nz/1825057735 That's gorgeous. I would love to have this. Hopefully the new owner is a member here.

JB4 tune means it's been thrashed, the owner didn't do a mod like that do nana it around. These are pretty common so you could likely find a completely stock one, I'd find that if I was in the market for such. The first rego shows a odometer decrease too, 10,046 down to 4,299km, suspect yes, but It might be as simple as the kms being entered wrong, instead of 1,046km some wof plonker wrote 10,046...

Very tidy and low kms but its a 335i that will only depreciate in value and get worse in condition as time passes. For me this is a pointless car but for you/your family member this may not be the case. The car itself is NZ new which is nice, a nice rare le mans blue colour, has some nice pretty bits, but also has the 19" wheels that are easily cracked over potholes etc, and because its low mileage probably hasnt had any plastic hoses/pipes replaced but still its 10 years old. You can pick up a reasonable condition 335i coupe for 15-20k these days and still have to spend a few thousand on maintenance etc but at the end of it you havent lost 10k on depreciation. But like I said, if you have the money, and want a tidy low kms exmaple to keep for a long time, then cant really go wrong. Also doesnt have iDrive which could be a good thing because the older ones are useless anyway and can break. just use a phone and a car mount. seriously though, 28k is a huge amount of money for a 10 year old car. You can pick up a F30 335i for not much more and it is heaps more advance in comfort and tech.

more wear and tear on parts is a generic answer. depends on the stage of the tune and if the car has had maintenance items done in order to run the tune or if it is running it on stock parts. I would be weary and proceed with caution and do a lot of research. There should be plenty of "stock" examples but that doesnt necessarily mean its better than a tuned one. just really depends

Are you going to make moulds so you can produce replacement panels in future? #becauseracecar

Now is the real last chance to buy an E46 M3 imo. (a decent one I mean) Last year there were heaps of E36 M3's now there is 1 or 2 rubbish ones for sale. By contrast there are heeeeaps of E9x M3's for sale and lots of decent ones too for very fair price. This will also change in a couple of years when the majority have hit 150-200kms (like some have already) and the lower mileage ones demand a premium again.

Notwithstanding the advice above the safest place other than NZ to get one is Japan. UK cars are all rusty unless they're in the top 5% and Singaporean cars will all develop electrical problems (and 99% will be SMG). A properly vetted Japanese car can be as good as a NZ new one but finding an unmodified one in Japan might be difficult.
