I'd take the alpina in this case over an m5, because diesel and uncommon. I can only imagine what an alpina fiddled diesel pulls like. They do kinda target two very different markets though, so hard to just say "but that's m5 money". That interior/exterior scheme is lush.

Hi Team, I am on the hunt for power steering Banjo Bolts for an E30 M16x28 and M14X1,5X26 with washers. Appreciate any help to source these locally. Thanks

And remember they're crush washers, you need 4 for rack side and 4 for the pump side, one for either side of the hose fitting. And BMW NZ charges over $3 each... ridiculous. Edit: may only need 2 crush washers for the pump side, depends how the feed line attaches.

From my experience servicing cars, this generally applies here too as long as all the checks in the schedule are done and genuine parts are used. The exception is aftermarket mechanical warranties which can be dicks about it all.

I'm finding my Kona delivers the same experience... luv it ?

Yep, shouldn't really be comparing the two, completely different target audience imho. M5/M6 = performance D5/B6 = getting from A to B in comfort (and pretty damn fast still)

I'm all for a bit of tinkering and tuning to see what you can get out of a car, lots of fun to be had from modifying and updating a stock factory car. However, I do start to get a bit worried when people go nuts on the engine side and forget about things like brakes, suspension, tyres, etc. especially on older cars like E30 where the original set up leaves a bit to be desired. Shouldn't be an issue on an M140i, especially if you have ordered the upgraded brakes or the M-Performance brakes.

Yearly oil over the surface rust. Every 12 months we burn off the clear coat and allow it to rust up a little mor when coat it in used engine oil and with this heat, it bakes it in quite well.

As much as i can respect big power figures there is a point where its just overkill for your average legal usage here in NZ. Sport bikes are a good examples as the only place you can fully utilize them is the track.

Depending on what motor, I'd even suggest that maybe the previous owner didn't replace the tty head bolts and they've been stretched past their limits. Have seen this happen with a friends 4AGE powered Suzuki. Had it "repaired" at a local shop, mechanic advised it would need doing again. I got the phone call, told him what to order, including new bolts. Stripped it down, head and block were fine so put it back together and AFAIK it's still going to this day. So could be the same thing here, and you may get away with it.
