Small update Received a message from the engineer saying he has finished the CAD work of the lower portion of the intake manifolds and injector fuel rail. All to fit and sit nicely between the heads in the valley.

Hi Team Very long time and no post. Alot has been happening as to why i haven't posted. Today is a very sad day but also good and exciting. For you all that have been following this build know i was going to use the Green e46 sedan as my platform for the v12 build. After some serious thinking i couldn't give this opportunity up. I am the new proud owner of this rolling body M3 ( thanks paul ) Some of you may hate the bodykit but its slowly growing on me. Well see you how we go as i may convert it back to factory. which has meant that i am selling the green sedan. I have just sold the red coupe and have also purchased the v8 wagon ( thanks eddy) Great work horse as i have more space for parts now. So again ill be adding the wagon build to this thread just so i dont have a million build threads going. Wagon e46: currently has M60B30 v8 motor and auto in. Plans to convert M60B44 supercharged manual. I purchased a M62B44tu a few months back Also pulled the M60 heads of my spare car ready for the M60B44 build So thats pretty much what has been happened in the past few months. Now that the new M3 car has the whole rear end included, so I can now use the other M3 rear end for the Wagon supercharge swap which works out perfect. Now also all the parts that were intended for the green sedan will be used on either the M3 or wagon. I will be install the XYZ adjustables into the wagon tomorrow. Will post pictures if i get time. Thanks Richard

One ended up in a ditch courtesy of a naughty son borrowing it from dads garage......HellBM was the recipient. Another regularly goes down Quay St in Aucklamd City as a daily driver with the plate AWSUM5. The pre-facelift spec has grown on me - if the front lights are in new condition they look great. I think the running costs are pretty reasonable if it’s a Sunday car. Daily it and the costs are more crippling. I think an M5 is a lot of car for the money. You could spend $30k on a HQ Holden and just accept that is the price!

True, but I would get heaps of helpful advice in the Trademe Q&A section! ?

I owned one of these, imported and sold it here, no where near that price but mine was burning oil (and had 100k more miles). At least it was well loved! If i was doing an E31 again ideally it would be an 840i Manual. All the performance in the real world, none of the M70/S70 drawbacks (yes I know its a V12).

Here’s another super rare classic from the 80’s for sale. One of approximately 20 that arrived in NZ brand new in the 80’s. I saw this for sale in 2008/2009 in Hamilton for $28k. Apart from the wheels, notice anything that is distinctly non- original? https://trademe.nz/motors/cars/bmw/m6/listing/2018549347

Haha, very good ? Unfortunately I've owned more French cars (2) than Hondas (1). And the 156 GTA I had was one special stroppy Italian. Living in the UK for several years opened my eyes up to the euro's (I had the tatts lasered off while there). But those two motor companies, HMC and BMW, represent what I like most about the auto industry...beautifully engineered atmo engines. Unfortunately in this turbo age, it's all too easy.

Alan had some really nice e31’s including an Alpina B12. Anyone still hear from him?

Sure is pretty, even by today's standards - far more attractive than the current 6 series! At $150k I think the owner needs to change the auction description from "fast appreciating" to "was fast appreciating" because it's not going up any further. You'd be silly to pay 150 unless you were putting it in a collection/museum (and even then?). Was it written off, de-registered and needed compliance to get it back on the road? Or have I interpreted that wrong?

2007 BMW 130i Japanese import (i drive still in Japanese sorry) 86,000km White with terracotta leather 18" M-performance wheels, new tyres Recently serviced including oil, engine air and micro filters, spark plugs No outstanding issues 9/10 condition inside and out Recently clayed and waxed I'm trying to move this along to make room for a new car. It has been a great car for us, giving very little trouble. We have had it since it was at 25000km and it's now up to 86000km. It's a fairly unique colour combo of white with terracotta interior which I think makes it feel a lot classier than your run of the mill white/black combo. It's still in great condition all round as it's a city car that doesn't see a great deal of open roads. Looking for $8k at the moment. Come and grab a tidy and reliable little performance hatch back! Some pics, will update once I can get outside to clean and photo it.

Look for E30 Garage Norway on Facebook, they have got a number of reproduction E30 parts including the various battery tray parts. From the pictures they seem to be pretty accurate replacements, but I haven't seen how well they fit in person.

To be fair the buyer has agreed to pay to fix the damage and I have money from him already, just unfortunate. It does fix a couple of cosmetic issues but will mean it's in the shop for a bit. He was so keen on the car he got the windows tinted lol

Will take it. Sent you a message.

That's rough. You break it, you bought it, buddy. At least that takes care of the couple of small cosmetic issues it had, I guess! It's a cool car and in damn good shape, can't believe no one has bought it. It drives really well too, with some nice punch.

Just got a full set of bilstein touring shocks from FCP euro for like $200 a corner on the 330. Check p/n but likely - https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-strut-assembly-front-left-128i-135i-313-254 https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-strut-assembly-front-right-128i-135i-313-255

I think this is great. I'm a fan, and wish we saw more cars like this. Styling is questionable, but some angles (rear) looks awesome. The reviews are praising the handling. And M2 levels of power are more than enough for the street. I'd rather a BMW interior than Toyota. It's benchmarked off a Cayman - and that makes it look like a good buy. (You can't compare used to new and it's certainly not comparable to a Stinger). The biggest problem I see is practicality. Small boot etc...

Finally put the style 5's on. Center caps are off until I get the tool. The center caps are also a slightly different silver, not sure what to do about this. Anyone refurbed a set of style 5's and have some pointers?

Looks like you'll be aiming for avg fuel consumption of 20L/100k with that fleet!

Finished painting the new to me shed floor, my excellent missus chucked some nice LED light tubes in the roof and I'm pretty happy. I even let the 316 have a look inside before I bring the race car home

Back for sale, but not available for a bit as potential buyer put some damage on the car parking it(after I told him it was low) so will be at the panelbeaters shortly for repair work. Will have new front bumper and new undertray fitted. Pre purchase inspection showed a new shock was needed so will be fitting new front shocks too.
