Don't see many of these for sale. Nice looking roadster in Black/Red. Similar performance/$ compared to a convertible M3 @ $25k https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=2159720007

Can someone buy it and remove the M badge on the grill please. Thanks

    It's an X7 with a nicer grille isn't it? ?

Those RR SUVs are just horrific in the flesh, I saw the black one that came into NZ and my first thought was a funeral hearse. Not sure what's worse, the black hearse look, or the Fisher & Paykel chest freezer look in white?

Gutted, surely? Or is there some preoccupation with drainage?

It's a standard feature in an M4... LOL. Clearly too stupid to work out how to pair the phone to the car, as it takes all of 1 minute to do.

Long time no post, but have finally got the E30 out of storage and giving it a birthday... I have the rear subframe out and disassembled, and I'm looking to get the rear wheel bearings replaced (still in the trailing arm with the hub), along with trailing arm and beam bushings... Can anyone recommend a good machine shop that could do this? (I have the parts)... Auckland based. Cheers in advance

Hi there I've recently joined the forum! I'm Wellington based and very keen on meeting with you guys. I do landscape and car photography as a hobby, if you like my photography style and would like a set of photos for cheap then feel free to hit me up! I own a 2007 335i M Sport, changed intercooler, charge pipe and bov, currently running on Stage 1+.

Sad times when even RR have to succumb to a market full of people who hate driving that buy SUV's/Sports cross over vehicles.

Hi Guys, In the quest to obtain a smooth idle, I need to track down a replacement idle valve. Turns out the M3 uses the same valve as the M62 V8, PN 13411733090 Anyone got a known good one to sell?

Hi Tony, I am from Wellington as well, look at the http://bimmersport.co.nz/forum/26-wellington/ for Wellington based meets. There is a Cars and Coffee this Sunday. I also do landscape photos every now and then, sometimes include our old cars on the photo. Hope to see you around. Jun

Pick of that bunch for me would be the 320d done 10s of thousands of kms on that motor in both 320d sedan and 320d xDrive touring. Great compromise between performance and economy. Enough torque to over-take a truck and trailer unit quickly even when loaded up, yet range of over 1,000kms to a tank on the open road. I’ve not owned one long enough to know of any issues, but anecdotally have had much better feedback than on the previous generation. Yes 330d would be harder to find, only a few sedan and some touring xDrive around. 4 Series offered here only in petrol, and Japanese imports very rarely diesel. Might be the odd UK one about, but again very few. Drive the 320d and see what you think.

Just front and rear strut mounts. Don't want the adjustables poking their way through my towers.

X5 is back from Auto38... work done: Replaced due to faults: Water pump Radiator fan blade (it was chipped) LF height sensor (for self-leveling suspension, as I started getting a 'SL Susp inactive' warning recently) Fuse for SLS compressor Rear number plate bulb Replaced because it was a good idea: Water pump pulley Tensioner roller assembly Deflection pulley Main belt AC belt Other stuff Radiator shroud refitted (hadn't been installed correctly previously) General vehicle check over. Things for later: Guibo RF CV boot Vehicle needed battery removed for 30 min to properly clear and reset the SLS error code. Thanks to Jon at Auto 38 and Autosure (helped with the waterpump fault). As much as I don't like spending lots of money on repairs (and it looks like a hobby of mine) I value Jon's thoroughness and proactive approach. It's great to have the X5 back - and it is just as well that I enjoy driving it.

I owned a NZ new 3.6 RM1762 in Macau Blue. Brilliant car that had 245kms on it when i sold it in 09 and it ran superbly. Think it is still in Auckland.

Very keen if they are genuine and in good condition.

Don't be a wanker and ask for photos. Third world countries have better internet than me.

Most of it is accurate, but you know what they say about believing what you read on the internet.. Not really related to cabin and boot space, but emissions reductions and manufacturing costs. Latest industry predictions are that a number of major manufacturers will either fold or have to merge due to the level of costs and resources required to meet the next round of emissions targets. The industry is increasingly being driven by government legislation rather than customer demands unfortunately. Take one for a drive, and without any prejudice, see if you can tell which end is providing the grunt.

Finally managed to get out and do some skids in the 328Ti in the weekend. Was the last round of the Eastern Southland Car Clubs Autocross championship. Went there just hoping to get the car running and have a laugh, but managed to win my class. Was a heap of fun, had issues with the car swapping ends a couple of times but once I managed a clean run I was able to shave a heap of time off. Grip was pretty much non existent until the track ripped up a bit. I do have a miss above 5,500rpm which could be a vacuum leak maybe. And the 4:44 diff is no good, so will get the 4:27 into it asap. Next stop roll cage.

I'm going with the single mass flywheel with kevlar disc from Speedfactor in Tauranga. I bought it off someone at a reduced price but still new. Looks like this:
