Day 355: One month later, they're finally on the car! They look even better than I originally thought. Stellar! Massive thank you to the guys at wheelfixit, and OCD for making these wheels look a million bucks! I'm kinda thinking about getting some Ti bolts thrown on to finish the look. Still deciding though as the opinion on them seem rather mixed. the OE wheels will be retired for now. Might make a good set of track wheels in the future!

About a month ago i sold my 327i sedan and purchased another E30. I was on the hunt for a genuine M325i for a long time and found this beauty its had an extensive service history and came with 17inch Alpina (Kopi Rep) wheels. It may look familiar to some of the older members as it was CRZARBs (Atta’s) car. Enjoy the photos

2008 335i Msport E92 Coupe 85,000km new BM owner. I noticed while just toddling around the suburbs over typical Wellington uneven road surfaces, that the front suspension seems to "clunk" a bit more than I would have expected a BM to clunk :) I am used to sports oriented suspension in my other cars and they kind of "bump" when running over small irregularities in the road surface. But the BM sounds more like it has worn bushes that are allowing more mevement than they should. Q1. Is this typically a thing with BM's at around 85,000 km ? I have also noticed when hitting a bit of broken surface in a corner at highway speed the front wheels seem to skitter like the shocks were having trouble keeping the tyres in contact with the road surface. Q2. Again, is this a sign that the OEM shocks are up for replacement ? Maybe the two issues are connected ? If they are, would a set of Bilstein OEM spec replacement shocks be a decent solution ? This is a road car that may see the odd street sprint or hillclimb. All suggestions welcome. Cheers... jondee

I've done it before. Much easier than a six cylinder.

@ Jacko Problem is that where I have this car stored there is barely room to open the door wide enough to get into the drivers seat. So not an ideal situation for getting under and inspecting the suspension. For what it is likely to cost I'm happy to pay someone with a hoist and knowledge to do the diagnosis. When I have an idae of what needs to be done I will decide if I want to buy the parts and do the job myself, or pay a garage to do the work. I change springs and shocks etc on my Corolla, but that is a smaller car and those parts are easy to access. There is a lot more stuff packed under the hood on the BM !!! Cheers... jondee

Lets all chip in a few bucks and buy it, so we can burn it with fire.

Olaf... good suggestion I need someone who knows how to diagnose stuff rather than just throw new parts at the car and hope that something works. I'll give Jon a ring on Monday and see if I can book a time to get the car up on their hoist. Browsing the interwebs I read that there are a bunch of rubber bushings under the car that can cause problems. And the strut top mounts may also need looking at... as well as the shocks. Going to have to open a savings account for this car !!! Cheers... jondee

i had wet carpets - passenger side - it was the airconditioning unit that had a leak

Make sure the side vent windows are closing tightly (they can be adjusted). Mine leaked and used to soak the seatbelt and carpet. Also clear sunroof drains. Not sure if the vapor barriers cause leaking in this model but that could be another cause.

This looks absolutely fantastic, quite a bit different to the other (very similar) set that christian has (and the one ray has just posted above). Good call on the ferric grey. makes it looks much better and more detailed than black. edit: HOLD ON WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE BLING BLING CENTRE CAPS????

Next day i removed the stickers, gave it a good clean and polish. This car is immaculate, drives like a dream but just wanted to add my own touches. Things I have done: - Suede Alcantara wheel (from my old E30) - Genuine 16 inch AC Schnitzer wheels - Painted the valve cover - Changed Diff/Gearbox oil (Redline)
