Dellorto Carburetors DHLA 45 Made in Italy. Comes with a fabricated manifold to fit up to BMW M42/M44 engines in the e30 and e36 318i & 318is series. Also comes with a vacuum block attached for a brake booster to be used. Has been used in road/race '02 and latterly an e30 race car for over 8 years without needing to be retuned. From memory a 42mm choke etc was used from the original dyno session over 8 years ago. It was rechecked last year and had a power output of 95KW @ 6800rpm. Pics are they came out of the car last week. Sold my set of Webers x2 (without a manifold) to be fitted to an ex-Nikki Lauda Ralt RT1 last week for over a grand. For this next couple of weeks this package is available for a grand i.e. $1000. I am on the road over the couple of weeks and will be giving thema bit of spit and polish before a Trademe campaign. So for Bimmersport old skool folk $1000 for the package as shown. My txting mobile: 0204200254

Yep Gull 98 is fine. Anyone who says otherwise is dreaming. "E10 fuels can safely be used in all BMW passenger cars from all model years. However, irrespective of ethanol content, the minimum octane rating as specified in the user manual must be observed as before, since some BMW models require Super Plus RON 98 to reduce knock"

Feeling like a change. Probably going to seek out a z3 or something in future so my 130i needs to go, but in no hurry. <124k New pilot sports all round, 4 wheel alignment and new battery during my fairly brief ownership. Will have service before sale as this is due soon. Light interior in good shape. Few scapes on the body (pic 3 front wheel arch scrape is the most obvious) and one wheel scraped (all courtesy of previous owner - I've treated this car like a baby). Still very presentable. Manual gearbox. Will post more pics. Based in Wellington / Kapiti Coast. PM if interested. Looking for 12k ono Cheers

$300k per year and that wouldn't include corrupt back handers from private businesses and organisations. Take Wellingtons mayor and how the recent sale of Shelly Bay to prominent rogue property developer came about, Wellingtons un used and un wanted cycleways popping up grossly opposed by local residents, associate minister of transport letter to Lester regarding 'get Wellington moving' and her refusal to make details public while her husbands company of urban transport planning picks up untendered Govt contracts regarding transport 'solutions' that fit in with their unrealistic but idealistic anti motorist agenda. Yeah the pope would have more chance of being a Muslim than the possibility of no dodgy back room deals and corruption by those who are suppose to represent/are being paid by the rate payer and tax payer. There needs to be a time limit that these trough feeders can bludge off the rate & tax payers. Goff has been sucking off the tax payers tit for nearly all of his working life starting back in the 1960s. Time to kick these self serving bludgers out the door and make them get a job in the real world!

Seems like a sharp price, especially if it has the options you want. An SRS warning may prevent you from getting a warrant, have them fix that at their cost if you buy it. Get a mechanical warranty and seriously consider a pre-purchase scan and mechanical inspection by a BMW specialist.

I suspect they get paid above the median. Not bad for a job that consists of meetings and zero effective accountability. Local government in NZ is a waste of time, period.

Its a wasted vote, as the Mayoralty is a two horse race. A vote for him splits the JT vote, so helps Goff get another term. If you want Goff just vote for Goff. If you dont want Goff, then dont split the vote and vote for JT.

Thought i better attend to the last real pieces of preventative engine work. New coolant pipes under the manifold. They were the original ones which had done 290,000km, picture shows how they fail, they have 2 o-rings which helps and the rest of the pipe was fine. A chunk of plastic must of broke off one pipe, and when i flushed the system it made it's way into the heater valve which jammed one side open, unfortunately took a little nick out of the non replaceable housing seal but it still appears to work ok. BMW plastic truly is the a gift that keeps on giving. Re-did the vanos seals as it felt like they weren't performing like they used to and was getting low rpm surging in first gear. Along with an adaption reset and its much more responsive with extra torque, and easier to drive with less clutch required. Rebuilt the alternator with new bearings, slip ring and brushes for $50 in parts. The original brushes were on their on tip toes. A time consuming fiddly job but worth it compared to unknown 2nd hand one or worse, a dubious Chinese special that would cost hundreds.

I've been running gull 98 in all my beemers for years with no issues. I did a test and used BP 98 for several tanks in a row but noticed no difference except to my wallet so switched back to gull.

New lens meant car 'test' photos. Teamed up with @mossline to go double trouble.

Well the 90's has pretty well had its turns so now its onto the new millenium stuff. I think the older or more used 2000's cars are in a limbo position atm as they most arent new enough to be worth anything but not old\rare enough to be sort after, add more controversial styling wise, big step up in complexity\luxury, old\high enough k's to need replacements many original parts and many examples on the market. You can understand why many people ive talked to just want to get rid of them once they have seen a few big bills. I always tell them newer vs older is a trade off.
