Here they are, cheap as chips too. Available in 28, 32 and 36mm... I selected 2012 135i but you might want to have a play. https://www.carid.com/centric/replacement-caliper-piston.html

They'd probably give you a solid 7 wire fence. Just wait til I move South of the Bombays first, I'd rather be stuck out of than stuck in Auckland!

Interior Update! With my brake booster now in the old glovebox location, i still wanted it to look as factory as possible, after a lot of cutting and grinding, i achieved just that. EB1D8036-FBD2-4608-B610-A7B005B38694.mov Rear cargo blind sourced from Mike Witheford With wanting to keep the front seats factory looking, and not wanting to change the back seats as well, i decided to keep things simple. I acquired a set of blue cloth sports seats a couple of years ago and decided to get them recovered in the factory black and grey fabric, sourced from Le Mans in wellington. The re trim was carried out by Reumers Trim and Upholstery here in New Plymouth . Reumers also recovered my headlining and sunroof panel in Black fabric and fixed up the tired and well used cargo blind. Removing the old heading and glue was not fun. Cutting and gluing the new headlining around the sunroof myself. I wanted to keep the grey interior carpet to match the boot lining, so just gave the old one a bloody good clean. The seatbelts also needed a good clean, this was the result of an overnight soak in warm water and sugar soap... I kept my black door cards from my old car, and was going to convert my rear manual windows to electric in the touring, but that hasn't happened yet. so a pair of rear door cards were sourced, unfortunately not in black. A quick DIY solved that. The plastic door body seals were also replaced with some adhesive carpet protector from Mitre10, Perfect! Starting to take shape! Finished off with my white gear knob from my old car (Now with 6 speed) and my Golf GTI plaid shift boot from StitchBoots in the USA. The interior is pretty much complete now, I'm running my old tweeter pods for looks, and my old map light mirror i kept from my previous car also. Just waiting on a radio blanking panel for the dash and also need to install my voltmeter. The rear battery setup in the boot has just finished being revised, the big old battery has been replaced by a much smaller one that allows the rear opening panels in the side wheel wells to now shut correctly.

$300k per year and that wouldn't include corrupt back handers from private businesses and organisations. Take Wellingtons mayor and how the recent sale of Shelly Bay to prominent rogue property developer came about, Wellingtons un used and un wanted cycleways popping up grossly opposed by local residents, associate minister of transport letter to Lester regarding 'get Wellington moving' and her refusal to make details public while her husbands company of urban transport planning picks up untendered Govt contracts regarding transport 'solutions' that fit in with their unrealistic but idealistic anti motorist agenda. Yeah the pope would have more chance of being a Muslim than the possibility of no dodgy back room deals and corruption by those who are suppose to represent/are being paid by the rate payer and tax payer. There needs to be a time limit that these trough feeders can bludge off the rate & tax payers. Goff has been sucking off the tax payers tit for nearly all of his working life starting back in the 1960s. Time to kick these self serving bludgers out the door and make them get a job in the real world!

So the CCV has probably failed on my car after a week, I'm buying OEM for that, was probably some cheap Chinese garbage. But i'm hoping someone has some spare CCV pipes they could sell me, just in-case i break some taking it off again, as the price of those pipes are ridiculous new.

Hence spreading his name around, his social media presence is already skyrocketing, its nearly quadrupled in a week. I think he needs to go do more public debates with the other candidates, as that will get him some real world attention as he is a waaaay better public speaker than JT or Goff.

The saddest thing is I suspect there are more people who don't want PG or JT (collectively) than do. But the significant number of Mayoral candidates will dilute the voting sufficiently that one or other is most likely to win. CL has made some excellent points, but he's certainly struggling to get the media representation that the big 2 receive. Talking to someone who was visiting Hawke's Bay from Auckland, they'd not heard of him. Whether he'd be a better prospect is another matter.

Turns out the inner rack ends were replaced and some non-OE lock washers have made it on instead of the spacered washers BMW designed. Sorted now thanks to @M3AN gifting me the proper set. Tyres no longer rub Also sorted the other WoF items out: windscreen washer pump, front brake hoses, new wipers all around, both rear fuel hoses, p/s belt. Just need to arrange a recheck.

Replaced the 'upgraded' JVC 4" speakers with some Rockford Fosgate Power Series 6X9's speakers in the rear deck of the M3. Huge improvement ?.

It's been a bit busy lately, and focus has been on work or the other vehicles in our fleet. I have managed to get out a few times in Grey Thunder, and have enjoyed every moment. Regardless, there are a couple of things bubbling along. While I get started with the wheel refurbishment, I'm looking at a couple of interior items. Sound and Vision, if you like, with a nod to Mr D Bowie. Or more precisely, the car stereo, and getting a tacho and small analogue clock installed. To this end, I've picked up a cluster, which I am researching before proceeding, in order to avoid it transforming into a cluster f%#k. And, I've also acquired - courtesy of one of our number here - a Bavaria C Reverse. And later, I bought a harness - which doesn't fit. So here's some car stereo images. My to-do list: Get the *correct* harness Get some front door tweeter pods (to go with those rear speakers and amp I picked up a while back). Install it. Record some 80's music onto cassette. From vinyl, and CD. BMW Bavaria C Reverse RDS, this morning. I like cassettes, I do. Question: Does anyone know what the correct harness is called? This is the rear connector on the Bavaria C Reverse RDS. Beautiful harness out of the USA, but sadly the wrong one! Probably brilliant for connecting to what's there. I guess I should pull the current Blaupunkt that Shelley BMW installed back in April 1990, and see what's in there. I may be lucky and find exactly the plug I need. Though as the Blaupunkt uses non-standard connections, my hopes are not high. Oh. That looks rather like the one on the stereo. Bugger. Detail shot of the BW-01B harness. Cluster images in a future post.

No idea what 'new shape' is suppose to mean given its a pre-facelift and were are in 2019. +1 to what Dave says. They are cheap for valid reasons.

So another ratty NZ new car and a mint jap import. Yet another example of Jap imports being superior and kiwis not giving a damn about their cars. No floor mats? What sort of feral animal owned it? Maybe I just have high standards...

Soooo I’ve put in a deposit for a white m-sport 320d ??? yes it is 2012 and a Jap import, and yes it has 120k km, but the overall condition of the car is close to perfect... the usual things, slight marks on the hexagon aluminium trim, worn right driver’s door handle, a few very little marks on the rear headrests, exterior is pretty good too, a few very little stone chips and a little scratch on the bottom of the side skirt... overall it had everything I wanted, sport seats (not the leather ones, I think they are velour and cloth with blue stitching and little m-sport tags on the sides), M-Sport steering wheel, 18inch wheels, Michelin pilot 1s run flats, M-Sport speedo and paddle shifts. I sort of felt sorry for the car, it is at that very fine line between staying perfect as it is, getting serviced properly and still doing another 200k km easy... or knowing that people don’t like higher kms cars here, and that it would probably end-up to be driven to the ground, so I’ve pulled the trigger. I got a 3 year mechanical warranty with it as well. It drove very well and smooth, suspension felt tight. Got it check by the BMW in Christchurch and it got flagged to one of their salemen to be looked at! Lol so anyway... I’ll send some pics once I have it!

Meh, some 17 year old will buy it and then enquire on the E30 facebook pages if it's possible to do a M50 swap with manual or Turbo it for 2k.
