Drivers leather seat wiring and buckle successfully swapped out. Gave the interior a good clean out. Don’t think it had been cleaned in years, lots of built up skin oils and filth around all the switches/buttons and handles. Gave it a good clean on the outside too. Years of neglect by the looks with dirt, moss, leaves etc stuck around the corners of the boot door jam and other trims.

Just a heads up...if you don't insert them accurately the block will be ruined. The head bolts will pull them out. Most motor re conditioners have their own special set ups to do these accurately and even they can get it wrong... ask me how I know

It's the 1970 Garmisch concept. A bit awkward from the front but much better in profile.

Pointers to such a tool? (not that I've spent any time searching) I'm thinking of doing all of my cam cover bolts in the aluminium. With a suitable guide for a hand drill it's an easy enough job at home. I've already done 2 of the 14 (?) out of necessity.

Absolute junk, their marketing campaign is next level though, its all over social media with the "silicon valley drone expert" nonsense, its all bollocks. Chinese factory with about four different brands of the same $50 toy, that'll all end up in the bin about 2 hours after opening the box Have a look on Ali express etc for Mavic Clones and you'll find them for peanuts. The way DJI market their things, and their target market, means that the "old" models devalue rapidly. If you want something Mavic sized and an impressive thing for the size/price, the old Mavic 1s you can find for pretty cheap secondhand on trademe and they are much better quality than the aliexpress/banggood/goodluckbuy ripoffs. Also checkout Dronedepot in ponsonby, Grant there is a good guy and regularly sells refurbished/secondhand DJI gear at good prices (and with a warranty).

Actually as I have said before. Most people use Waze in the US as a crowd sourced info app. Bad traffic. Speed Traps. Couches and mattresses on the road (fitting for West Auckland). And yes it displays the speed limits. And an accurate gps speed of the vehicle. I run it just for the info. I wish more people did.

Front end suspension overhaul all done. Drives alot better and not too crashy with the lowering springs. I lowered the rear using inpa to tune the air bag heights. Started off reading around 615mm (measured from bottom of rim lip to wheel arch) and ended up at around 585mm. M sport rear suspension with 18” wheels is 589mm stock. Fitted the staggered M Pars and got a much needed wheel alignment. Before : After :

Only "performance" difference would be in the suspension - shocks and springs I think. Some M-Sports have this option removed and have standard suspension from factory - so double check the build sheet if you want to have the firmer suspension. Sits a bit lower (about 10mm I think) when the M-Sport stuff is fitted.

Same as myself today, just got the letter. 92 in an 80 zone, so I thought I was a good boy playing it safe in a 100 zone coming back from Tauranga to Auckland. Looks like I missed the sign for 80 ? First ticket in 15 years.
