Righto - have the M5 back... Check and set tyre pressures & reset tyre monitor Remove S85 auxiliary oil pump & replace profile gasket & clean down oil leaks Remedy power steering leak with replacement clamp Rescanned recurring fault code with lambda bank 2 - 'O2 sensor out of limit' & intermittent lean code comes up once at around 800RPM and then runs fine. Vanos codes not coming up again and it all looks OK Battery was a bit had it so new one has gone in. Next thing is ... New Michelin Pilot Sport 4s going on the rear this Thursday. Extremely good price from Hyperdrive.co.nz. Then back to Auto 38 for oil change oil analysis Maybe clean throttle bodies to see if it helps with fault code And in other news... Picking up the F30 335i Luxury Edition tomorrow... took it for a test drive on Sunday evening and was most impressed - amazingly modern in every way compared to my other vehicles and the twin turbo six is quite something.

Attended the MG & Constructors car club driver training day at Manfield last weekend. What a fun event. First time driving on the track and had an absolute blast.

the weird rear taillights kind of bug me and its a pity that its not the 2003.5 MY spec but still a great price with plenty of room for maintenance on top. (NO Kyu, NO!)

I don't think ive even dreamt of owning 4 BMW's. At this point you may as well buy 5 so you can drive a different one to work each day.

lol - because they don't want to have to spend $5000 on sh*t that goes wrong in the next 24 months. I must say it's a sharp price, perhaps a little too sharp in today's market, I'd want to look at it very, very closely. On the other hand the seller may just need a quick cash sale and it all could be kosher. VANOS and subframe are obvious considerations. It would make a better daily than my M3 that's for sure... and it would be more fun than an auto 130... hmm... (NO David, NO!).

Funny you should say that, was flicking through a service manual and this is on one of the inspections saying to be replaced. Should probably do mine too.

I heard they will kill you in an instant if your right foot outweighs your skill.

? tread carefully hahahah - you living on da edge g i've just been reading some heated threads on that topic lol I would love to wait 20,000km, but i can see the colour of my oil as it leaks out of my intake haha, and its starting to look a bit too dark for my liking (changed 7,000km ago) I dont have a dip stick, just an oil leak to help me gauge oil condition

Hey Team Small update for the M3 Long story short car was damaged from transport company during shipping awhile back, took abit to get them to admit it was their fault and to cover for some of the damage. So there was two option, throw money at the crack and possibly recrack again or fork out more to get the car taken back to factory. I decided to take back to factory as id hate to have money spent on a repair to have it crack again. Picked up car today from panel beaters but during inspection i noticed a big crack in the windscreen, as was like FML just got repair done now i have another issue, the shop said it was there when i dropped it off. So couldnt really do much but happy to have her back and looking nice with fresh paint job. Also had a friend go over to the U.S for a holiday whilst there i got this goodie sent to her hotel that she was staying at, Garagistic solid mount shifter for the m3. also did a while ago, removing as much carbon build up from the heads and pistons of the m60/m62 motor that will be going into the wagon. Thanks

Not all councillors are like that... I know our Mayor has been having stand-up battles and arguments with folk from central transport agencies over their nonsensical "it's safer" bullshit.

Public transport is the future, don't you know. Also f**k what you plebs want, you need to be told by your betters in your district council what you want. And that is, empty cycle lanes and empty busses.

No. But will tell you if the entire road is a bus lane at certain times of the day. Rich you should be on that bus. It only costs $7 each way and goes nowhere near where you would want to be. When it arrives is also a complete surprise.

I've been running my updated Tom Tom in the UK and it is a complete waste of space. Takes you through every stupid rat run (most with speed humps) and even single track roads - and it's set for main road priority. It got thrown into the back of the car and squaked "in 500 yards..." as a last shot at getting me lost. I converted to Google maps with the in car screen (the rental is a Citroen C3) but it's just as bad. Was told about Waze - what a star performer! M25 it shows congestion , cars on the side of the road, police etc. and has sensible alternative routes. I notice that the setting "avoid difficult junctions" is a default - perhaps this is how it gives sensible routes. Can't wait to try it back in NZ.

f**ken Novus. How are they so big and so sh*t at what they do. Turned up, pulled trim apart, scratched bonnet, realised didnt bring the moulding to replace windscreen, and then put the trim back incorrectly so I have a inch gap at the base of the screen now. Thats just what I wanted! A cracked screen, a scratched bonnet, and a gap that'll let birds make a nest in. Fantastic job.
