All cleaned up and fitted. Need to open up the drivers seat control box to fit a new bushing so i can put the recline/headrest button back on, and the switch covers for the thigh support on both seats are missing. Hopefully can find those in the e39 530i msport festering away at pickapart Mangere.

Painted them Phoenix Yellow.. and thought the colour looked weird... So then redid them in straight yellow. No clear yet, but they're certainly yellow.

Removed the AU falcon from the 130, came out pretty nice, pretty solid dent but luckily not sharp.

It should be illegal to sell a registered car that needs a cert, without a cert.

I'm bugged by non cert modifications that are 'easily changed for wof' I for one am super enthused by the idea of swapping suspension twice a year.

Casually having a stroll through Zebra Onehunga as you do and spotted a standard e39 fitted with black leather Sport seats. Boot and all 4 doors were deadlocked so out with the holesaw again. Leather is fairly good and all the electrics work but god damn were they in a state of filth. The drivers seat smelled of dog, sweat and mildew and the passenger seat was just mainly mildew and old beer smell. Spent a good day of solid dismantling and cleaning of the seats. Used some baking soda and white vinegar to kill off the mould and other gross. Will be letting these air out in the sun for a couple of days before installing.

M30 is a very flexible engine, for instance you can come out of a slowish corne in thrid and just let it rev out.you could do the rimutaka s in only third gear i loved mine and was happy to get back in to the 535 even after a test drive in both a e39 540 manual and an e34 540 manual. The only downside is the fuel use. They are thirsty for what they are i reckon. They are undergeared to pep up their accelleration which means they are doing about 2250 at 100 ks as opposed to about 1800 rpm for an e24 635

Cleaned and got a coat of some autoglym quick detailer. Clay bar'd the windscreen and applied 'jet seal' to it along with the lights. Noticed someone has reversed into my front number plate putting it significantly out of shape...probably better than the bumper but still. Will have to pop this off and try straighten it.
