Amazon International doesn't ship to Australia at all, but amazon.com.au has most things from Amazon International anyway, and they have Prime. So in many ways, they got a better deal in the end. The selection is more limited, but what Amazon does sell ships a lot cheaper to AU now. This thread makes me think I should travel home to the US more often and bring back some heavy things in my luggage selectively.

We have 2 fobs, 1 works completely fine and the other won't lock the car but opens the boot and unlocks fine. It was the first time using the fob today and my wife reports that when she pressed the lock button the car would make a noise as if it were trying to lock. I have now tested it myself and I don't hear any noise at all now. Car model is 2007 525i and there is no model listed on the fob.

Sorted today, rear fast-flow type box with appealing looking tips I think. Thank you one & all for all the recommendations and advise. Next week job are the rimms to be cleaned up & front left buckle sorted fingers crossed.

There is no money in refurbishing wheels if you are looking to sell one unless they are one of a kind. I picked up some 14inch weaves for $160 with no centres. I wouldn't bother getting centres from USA, just as cheap if not cheaper at the dealer To pay $500 for some 14inch weaves, you would hope they are mint

+1. All the main carriers have always handled GST, they just collect it on everything now.

Ahh the '80s, great times. Love the title as well.. Monaco, Monza, Macao.... Welllington!! Which is the odd one out, and not just because it starts with a different letter.

Yes we all know that Supercheap are far from and we all know what REPCO stands for... a comfortable duopoly thanks to big marketing budgets...

I alerted FCP Euro to this change a while ago now. I've just placed another order today and they did not charge GST... we'll see what happens as it crosses the border... Also emailed them about it and they replied that they will ask the shipping department for any "progress on this matter" On the news the other night it was stated that 372 companies worldwide had "signed up" to the requirement. That is 3/5ths of SFA and I predict chaos as all these packages arrive with no GST being paid? Will they try and collect it from us at the border? For all values? Down to $1? I suspect not...

I got my 15x8 BBS RG003's for $400. $2k for some shitty weaves. Nope.

Thanks for that Olaf, Yes Autoglym is now available from Super Cheap, they don't carry the full range. Any products they don't carry & you want, let me know, as I am the distributor for the lower half of the North Island, well was !! There is a bit of a back story, but I wont go into that here!! Regards Barry

One satisfying (albeit eye-wateringly expensive) upgrade last weekend. Thanks @str8_6 for the help! This was actually quite an involved process - first the airbag must come out in what is a very finicky process (after disconnecting the battery), then after removing a few screws the two pieces of plastic trim (controls and lower trim) can be removed. These two pieces are attached with more screws, so they too need to be unscrewed before doing all the steps in reverse to put the new trim in. This bugged me every time I got in the car. Looks really nice now.

Is this "vibration absorber" done up correctly?

Oh bugger ?. This episode is well worth a watch. They convert the SMG to manual (as it is the same box). Very interesting how its done and probably a mod worth investigating if you have an E60 M5. Hint, hint @TermiPeteNZ & @Jun ?
