Yes!!! Oh man. I can’t forget the look on the driver of the white E30 we went past. He couldn’t believe his eyes, hahaha. That was a mint day for it too. We should organise a drive to Piha. Perfect roads for these cars. Just gotta watch out for Lycra gang on their Uber expensive carbon bikes. Honestly, Lycra on men should be frowned upon like speedos.

Primed and ready. I’ll be handing this off to a painter to spray the colour and clear. Have smoothed out the texture on the corner strips as i’ll be leaving all the side trims colour coded. Glad that’s done. Adhesion promoter coats. This bumper turns out to be a rep. Made of PP means paint doesn’t stick so well. Initial Priming Bog/sand Bog/sand Bog/sand... Touchups with primer and finished results

If predominately serving the Chinese market then i wouldn't expect most of buyers there would care given its a status symbol.

define decent....its a shed. One look at a double garage built by these outfits compared to how a builder would do it will reveal what you are gonna get as the size inceases. They maximise every span and use the absolute minimum of materials..They have special designs.I cannot replicate their designs in my truss program. The trusses "fail"

I didn't realise this would be so inexpensive, nor did I know this tool actually existed. I thought the "proper" tool was the vice grip like one which I didn't particularly want. So, all going to plan oil change this weekend.

Oh and got a X1 for the boss to try save some miles, Jans uses any excuse to drive it as well. Hide the M5 behind it ? on garage duty

Hitting 6k already, how’d that happen? Couple of good runs for sure, Turangi pre lockdown, New Plymouth post lockdown. Just me and the M5 on that one, ? bash Mt messenger into submission. God damn thing is a beast when you unleash it, just pulls and pulls. only issue to date is the iDrive reset itself a couple of times on the run, it’s only CIC so likely I’ll update it at some stage anyway. After having non M V8s I can see where the money goes for the difference, it’s just unfortunate that you can only explore those limits too stupid crazy speeds. Give it the full jandel passing on the open road, ALWAYS fires the traction control up, on P zeros and will move to pilot sports when needed, which probably won’t be long ... Coded the stupid fed sound into the cabin out as well, it is pretty quiet but suits on long trips. I’d love more noise but ultimately it’s a five, it should define subtle power, I think it does that pretty good ? Off to Welly Friday, then the club run to castlepoint so feels like a service is coming, thosefront rotors are looking a little warn too ....... ? Best keep driving the i3 to pay for it ? all. Well it’s only money ?

Not going to make the mistake of commenting on Global Politics on a car design thread, we all know how that ends up. My reference is purely to the amount of $$$$s involved in the Chinese car market, and how that is influencing the design criteria.
