And just collected these, thanks for a simple and good deal Kyle (@///M) - spied your car at the same time, looks like a nice example! Not sure when I'll install them, the front bar (e9x M3) is relatively easy, a bit more faffing around to get the rear bushing inserts installed. I might order new drop links (and some oil filters) from FCP.

About a month ago i sold my 327i sedan and purchased another E30. I was on the hunt for a genuine M325i for a long time and found this beauty its had an extensive service history and came with 17inch Alpina (Kopi Rep) wheels. It may look familiar to some of the older members as it was CRZARBs (Atta’s) car. Enjoy the photos

Free to pick up. From Central Auckland. Came off an E30 325i. AC Schnitzer style tip.

thanks @Olaf - I suspect that Elite have got someone in to do it, which may have been Airflowe (as that was who they suggested if I wanted to take full respray of front bumper option). Good to have choices though!

Sorry, I missed your original post @balancerider. I recently had a minor insurace repair on the rear right corner of our e46 (a love tap from behind when my wife was turning left on her way home). Broken lens and minor scuffing. Airflowe on the Hutt Road were excellent, I paid for some additional work and was impressed with the standard of finish, reasonable price too. They're a BMW approved repairer also.

Meyle HD droplinks (way beefier than stock), a few Mahle oil filters, OE cabin filter, and because I must keep adding until the shipping goes up, a set of BMWP genuine aluminium pedal covers, all ordered from FCP. Can't complain when shipping is <US$30.

I've purchased two Alpina's with the help of Carwebs - one form Japan which is why you should go to their website - most cars seem to be there on a Thursday. Carwebs lets you see the auctions without a deposit, although when you bid you are only instructing them. I've found them to be very helpful and their calculator helps with the landed cost - other costs all mount up including GST

Thanks @Sammo @catchuk no spacers are fitted to these photos, weird how yours don’t fit mine are just straight bolt on. Yes they are 1.5 & 2.5 inch lips. No real updates of the car as its in long term container storage while we get our house built

Absolutely stunning E30 - dream car for me and perfect spec

My lost AP suspension shocks and springs cost $800 via Demon Tweeks landed (well, lost!) whereas Speedfactor was $880. Pretty sharp pricing as a lot of importers here like to mark up 100%.

Your BBS R033's look amazing! Do you have spacers? If so what size? I have RS033's the won't clear the brake caliper. Also are those 1.5" and 2.5" lips?

A nice car driven into the ground by an owner that couldn't afford to maintain it... bummer. He should have sold it before he completely f**ked it. I imagine it'll be parted out soon, it's junk now... Edit: Wait that's a 320. Why the hell is '130' in the listing title? Maybe not such a great loss then lol.

As much as I would like to support a Kiwi company, when I bought in my Koni's from Demon Tweaks it was nearly 40% cheaper including GST and freight than the price I was quoted by Stocks.

On oil filters - Go Mahle or genuine, theyre mint. The mann ones are average, the repco ones are horrific piles of sh*t that look like stuff kids made with a hot glue gun. I order packs of a few Mahle ones at a time from FCP.

The sheet’s laying in Auckland unfortunately. Car was aligned at P&S auto (great bunch of guys btw) and was very similar to M3 specs as per below. https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192175

Look out for Mitsi GSR (evo 4 shape) recaro's. You can see what they look like in my build thread. Pickup reasonably cheap, nicer pattern on them than most, newer than fishnets and because they're in sedan's the flip forward mechanisms almost always work flawlessly because they're not needed. I have a spare rear seat if you need additional material also. HIGHLY recommend using the recaro to e30 adaptors rather than sliders and floor mounts from Scarles or similar as you don't have to cert or trans tunnel mount the seatbelt.

I may be a bit biased but have to say the E39 / E46 / E38 era was a very very good one for BMW design

I finished the front control arms today, greased, reinstalled and torqued the upper arms and greased, installed and torqued the new lower arms. I also installed the replacement headlight adjuster (Xenon) arm. A few tips: Have a T40 torx bit handy in case you need to hold/lock the ball joint shafts. The M3 bearing assembly on the lower arm is a fraction wider (~0.5mm) than the standard item but a bit of gentle persuasion with a rubber mallet and a block of wood fixed that (3 mins per side). None of the DIY's I read mentioned that the new headlight adjuster arm doesn't come with nuts, you can reuse one from the stock item but you'll need another. A quick bike ride to Mitre 10 and I had a pack of stainless self locking M6 nuts. Took it for a quick drive around the block to see if there were any knocks and, as expected it handles terribly, dangerously even. I certainly wouldn't allow anyone else to drive it in this state. But no knocks and an alignment this week. Also nice to meet @Navin today when he came and picked up the spare M3 arms for what I paid for them so that worked out perfectly. Lovely E82 mate! Holy camber Batman!

You are the last person I can think of that needs this car @TermiPeteNZ ? think I’m probably going to pull the trademe add and keep it for a while so I can find what’s wrong with it. Maybe it will become worse and more obvious....I don’t notice it at my daily speeds of 50-70 so it’s easy to live with in the mean time.

Hey Team hope you all had a nice Anzac day of remembrance. So keeping busy in lockdown and trying to make the most of this free time. I had a pre 98 e39 pedal box that i thought the pedals would work as the part numbers match but for some reason it wouldnt work with the x5 Brake bracket. So with some left over bits from a e87 pedal box i manage to make something that will hopefully work. Cutting the x5 brake pedal down with a cardbourd template. Just a rough test fit to check if the clutch pedal clears the foot rest and luckly it does as the e87 pedal hangs to the left as you can see. Brought another Solid Mount Shifter from BM speed shop ( trying to support local businesses) for an e46 and mounting point work, Just need to lengthen the e39 selector rod. Pulled the motor out and stripped it to change all the gaskets and timing chain guides but looks like they were already done as they looked brand new. these are the bits of the old timing Guide after removing the upper oil pan. Gave the block and all mating surfaces a good clean too, took the outer c.v joint off the shaft to be reused and repainted the valve cover. and saw this too that the block had a b44 stamp on it. BMW must have just reused the 4.4 blocks and bored them out a few mm. Also thought id give this a try, placed a whole electric e46 fan and shroud inside the x5 one. Plugs are the same so hopfully can get it to work. So now just waiting for all the gaskets to come from FCP euro.

Next day i removed the stickers, gave it a good clean and polish. This car is immaculate, drives like a dream but just wanted to add my own touches. Things I have done: - Suede Alcantara wheel (from my old E30) - Genuine 16 inch AC Schnitzer wheels - Painted the valve cover - Changed Diff/Gearbox oil (Redline)

228,000 had the car into Jon @ Auto38 to see if he could diagnose the shimmy I’m experiencing at 80-100km and upon braking. Everything in the front is tight, worn upper control arm in the rear. He thought it could just be tyres. So today @mossline and I swapped wheels. We also put mine on his for extra validation. No dice. My car still wobbles and his with my wheels doesn’t. Good to be able to rule that out though. so guess I’ll replace the rear arms and take it from there. After seeing @Jacko’s glossy car I bought some soft99 car wax (for light coloured cars) and went about my commiserations waxing the beast. photos of it glossed up to follow tomorrow. side note, the E30 has a lot of play in the drivetrain so it was drop one off pick one up at Auto38 this week ?‍♂️
