Actually most generic Toyotas you hear driving around are constantly pinging from stationary, anything vvti with 10.5+ compression usually has a sad life once they come to NZ from Japan. They should all be run on 95 at a minimum.

It's cosmetically less than perfect but mechanically sound and drives like a dream! Only code is radiator flap which is nothing.

Refurbished wheels are back and fitted up with new semi slicks all around. Fitment of the e39 M5 wheels on the e46 M3 is spot on. Next up I'll fit the Fancywide rear diffuser when it turns up. This may still be a while away as I think it shipped from Russia.

Selling my 330ci Clubsport in velvet blue, 219,154kms. Pretty sure this is the only Clubsport in this colour currently in NZ. Owned the car for a year now but it's time to move it on as I can't keep up with the work it needs due to University. Car has rego but no WOF. Interior is in pretty decent condition for its age apart from the drivers side B pillar which has had the headlining come off and the steering wheel as pictured below. Engine runs fine but according to Euro Services "The electrics that run from the battery in the boot to the engine run through a series of plates. There has been arcing at those points and they are now pitted and worn resulting in poor electric transmission". Quoted $750 to fix this. In my ownership I have done the following: front tyres, ceramic front brake pads, low kms purple tag steering rack, new century battery, LHS control arm, brake hoses, Water pump, serpentine belt & water pump pulley, had transmission replaced with one that had 170,000kms~ all transmission work done by Jon at Auto 38. Have receipts for all the work mentioned. Everything listed done within the last 6000kms. Previous owner also did a large amount of work with receipts. Faults: There is clear coat peel on the door handles and wing mirrors, overall car could do with a respray. Can't adjust wing mirrors ( reverse tilt still works). Rear tyres need to be changed, transmission and engine mounts need to be replaced, drive shaft coupling needs to be replaced, front shocks need to be replaced. Left hand side tail light isn't fully working but wasn't an issue for WOF. Would be a good project for someone who could bring it back to its former glory. Viewings in Auckland, i'll be heading back to Wellington tomorrow so interested parties will be dealing with my Dad (Tom Snr). His number is listed below. Feel free to contact me (Thomas) if you have any questions regarding the car, my number is listed below along with my email or contact me via messaging on here. SOLD Cheers.

I have an AUX Bluetooth adapter in my e91 335i and the call quality and music is perfect! Way less hassle than trying to integrate the OEM solution which is more than 10 years old now.

Thats a bloody steal for a 330ci clubsport. Good luck, hope it goes to someone that brings it back to its glory.

Whats one of these actually worth now? I need one to match my 1980s pre stock market crash executive house... Maybe I have no taste, but that colour and those wheels look awesome to me

Is there any chance of reviving the pictures in this thread? Would be such a good resource for building my own.

It has a few glitches, crashes the music app on my phone occasionally, a bit clunky to navigate using the idrive controller, and if I want to use the CD player I have to open the glovebox and switch it over, but it does everything I want and it is a fully reversible installation if I ever decide to take it out. The price wasn't too bad, I bought direct from the Dension website.

Success! after biting the bullet and splashing out for a brand new clockspring from Coombes. (They had one in stock so snapped it up) I now have working paddles, Cruise control and stereo controls again, but with new OEM part reliability ? we also gently polished the heinous water spots off the windows. These have been a problem I’ve been trying to get rid of for some time. Today with the right product and gentle polishing with a drill, success. Stoked. New switch installed on existing switch boards and wiring above old switch de constructed new switches getting installed with covers getting new grease for a smooth action switches back in ready for trim and airbag. Along with new clock spring.

@qube yeah I'm pretty sure im going with steel grey, not sure what pearls go in it but it's pimp. Found lots of photos on BMWs steel grey but it's such an interesting colour that looks so different in lighting I really wanted to do a test spray first. Silver grey looked real sleek to me and wanted to try it, but the steel grey definitely has more character. I think it's BMW colour code 400. Bluer face redder flop? Lol Closest I've found end result in that lighting will be this for steel grey And for silver grey Polished up those fogs too, and JB welded the bumber guide.

Wouldn't it be better to just replace the unit with an Android based unit?

Yep. Leaves much less residue over. Downsides are it can lift fabrics (as it loosens glue). Steamer, plastic blades and prepsol made this job much easier than it should have been.
