  1. These guys http://www.anythingelectronic.co.nz/aenz/index.php
  2. Even the dealers are known to have gotten this wrong leading to having to replace the instrument cluster and the LCM... good luck... fingers crossed
  3. A tamper condition can be instigated if this isn't done properly
  4. All good. Your car is one of a few very good ones... there are some out there
  5. Be careful Gabe...the LCM is not plug & play on a E39
  6. That's why I've being driving an Xtrail for the last 13 years from new ... 180km 1 battery, 3 sets of tyres, 2 front wheel bearings, crank & cam sensors $85 ea, genuine starter $98, new cat $900 (complete exhaust manifold), 2 sets of front brakes and 1 rear with no new rotors, just machining and normal servicing... oops and 2X LLb501 front park light bulbs.. that's all
  7. I would agree.. such a tidy project A credit to you Scott... well done
  8. I would strongly suggest that you spend your money wisely and get a PPI carried out first and then cost what may actually need to be done. There may be quite alot more that needs to be done on a 26 year old E30. And I did get your email. I would need to see the vehicle before giving you an estimate on cost and unfortunately we don't fit parts supplied unless by arrangement.
  9. You need a new hammer. Technicians don't have a builders hammer in their tool kit. They are also too light and don't have a good head shape ?
  10. Just give me a call first (09) 2722546 or 021921377
  11. Come and talk to me next week and let me have a quick look at what you've got
  12. No one seems to be communicating anymore. I'm not sure what the problem is. I've been asking for help
  13. Not me. If your running a business like a few others on here are without being a sponsor an admin might be doing it

    Quick rant thread.

I totally agree with you Dan. Most of the facebro pages are crap
  15. Let's get this thread back on topic and help Nathan (remorse) with his questions. If I offended anyone, it wasn't intentional just my opinion and how I see it. I'll keep further comments and opinions to myself. Go and talk with Ross at BM Workshop Botany, Guido at BM Workshop Grey Lynn or Ken at Bellars on the Shore. Don't ring, go and talk to them about your intentions of what you want to do and what you would like to achieve.
  16. Thank you... and the clientele that I work for and enjoy working for is probably not the same as the people who are commenting here. My reasons are for the first thread I posted on this subject. I don't work for labour only and I don't discount my labour, I don't fit parts supplied unless by agreement with a client, I don't get told what or how much I will charge. I choose who I do work for and what I will work on. I don't need the stress or exposure to risk and I really enjoy doing what I do using quality parts that I have control over and being able to do my work to a high standard that has a quality back up of 1.5 million dollars of public liability which I have only had to use twice since 1986. I'm also supported by by network of suppliers who guarantee their products. If I offended anyone with my blunt statement... tuff. I can take it and get insulted at least once a week by 21 year olds that tell me how to repair there pieces of sh*t , what I will charge and how to do it, which I refuse to work on anyway. I will also add that I am not insinuating that any of the people commenting on here own pieces of sh*t, I just didn't put it across appropriately in a post up there ^^^^^ Using this scenario: Go to your local special restaurant... take cheap cut of meat and an imported crayfish with you. Put it on the table and tell the chef how much you will pay him to cook it to the same standard you had there a month ago ? Do you think he might be slightly insulted ? I'm only interested in dealing with people who want a quality repair done to a high standard at a reasonable price with guarantees, and my costs are always able to be negotiated... I have a phone number
  17. Mine works a treat in the Mercedes. Have not had an issue yet with a customers
  18. I too have had problems and requested help but there appears that no admin that can help with this problem has been present here for at least 10 days. Maybe the ship is sinking ?
  19. As above. I need a pair of Xenon headlights in good condition. Not Ebay Taiwanese ones
  20. If it's so straight forward and you have a video on how to do it. Why can't you then do it your self ?? I find your statement of a professional just charging labour to fit supplied parts at a labour cost only insulting to the professional repairers in our industry.
  21. A couple of weeks ago Wayne and I had to use two power bars to get my 17m socket off one of these . We might just use our new sucker instead of using the sump plugs to drain oil. Her name is Sucketer... real good value, sucks it up with no mess and doesn't argue
