  1. Just got it a couple of weeks ago so haven't had it done yet, but ill call an book it in soon
  2. Just after some info if anyone else with a 330i has run into this issue, The car will be looked at next week but just wanting to know what i am in for. When the car is cold it starts fine, After driving and starting again within half an hour the car starts fine. If i leave the car for 1-2 hours it becomes difficult to start. When this issue occurs, the temperature gauge will go all the way to the red when the key is turned to position 2, or it will not move at all (even though the car is still warm) if i try to start the car it will crank 3-4 times before it will start, it will sputter into life and will need throttle to start, when this happens, the EML light on the dash will be on. if i wait for the gauge to move to the correct position (30seconds- couple of minutes) i will then be able to start the car. Pervious maintenance that has been carried out in the last couple years include fuel pump, thermostat and housing, cooling system hoses, air mass meter, PCV, dipstick breather, camshaft speed sensor (this was 5 years ago though) Any insights into what the issue might be?
  3. What sort of cost was the turbo replacement?

    Heatpumps..

As long as you stick with one of the top 5 brands, (Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Daikin) they are all basically the same in terms of performance, reliability, out put, efficiency, noise level etc.
  5. would i do it again? yes, if someone else was paying for it. apparently if you want to drive fast the best car to take is the lotus, but even then they get at you about braking at the pre set points etc. They also put a chicane in the back straight which you have to slow down to about 10kph to go through. Still managed to get the 900hp lambo up to about 230k before being yelled at to brake. with the lambo, they also only let you drive it in auto. and of course they don't let you take your own go pro, you have to buy the in car video from them. Heres a video of another friend driving the Lamborghini last year, this will give you an idea of what they experience is like... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=untaVopIDoc
  6. I have driven the turbo lambo, and they make it very clear that it is a drive experience, not a race experience. I went with a bunch of friends, all did 4 laps each and had a competition going to see who could do the fastest lap. We were all pretty much the same, with the instructor (who owns the car) threatening to take a couple of us back in after 2 laps
  7. back for sale again? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/cars/bmw/auction-653520254.htm
  8. will the centre arm rest fit in a coupe? if it does, price?
  9. if you're going to be spending that kind of money on components you will obviously want to run them off an amp as well. i would be looking at something from Rainbow or DLS. personally I wouldn't buy from Rapid Radio as every time I have been in there to buy stuff I have walked out empty handed because I have been really put off by Mark, the guy just rubs me the wrong way for some reason.
  10. I had mine done at Auto Interior Specialists in New Market, they did a good job. dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. It was $350 from memory.
  11. http://www.rve.co.nz/aboutus.html Retro Vehicle Enhancements. not cheap, but very very good quality. i have had work done there and was very happy with the results.
  12. Im considering selling mine soon. Black, manual, lowered 19"s which are getting a full refurb by arrow wheels in the next 2 weeks. M3 kit, mirrors and vader interior.very good paint most of the car has been resprayed.
  13. I had mine redone at a place in Newmarket, it cost $350 and was a very good job.
  14. Graeme Hart was a tow truck driver
