  2. As mine is a race engine, it spends most of it's life in the high RPM bracket, over 6000 RPM. This can cause the viscous coupling to fail. and a failed viscous coupling leads to a fan going bersec in the engine bay, wrecking everything. So for me was primarily preventative, but it gained a coupel HP on the wheels. I popped in an oversize electric fan on the radiator with a thermostat to kick it in at a lower temp.
  3. Hi guys. Been a couple years since I've been online. I am busy swapping out my M52B28 for an S50B32 in my Targa car. The oil cooler on the S50 is in a sorry state and want to replace it. I could always opt to an OEM cooler but want to make sure I have oil temps under good control considering I am on WOT for up to 50km per stage. Have a set of AN10 adapters coming for the oil filter housing so can run braided oil lines and this opens up the possibilities of what oil cooler to run. Right now I am looking at a bimmerworld double pass filter that mounts the same as OEM but at US$600 gives me second thoughts. Has anyone got any suggestions on an oil cooler upgrade for race use that keeps oils temps in check? AN10 fittings. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
