  1. Just installed mine into my E90 on the weekend ******* love it! The GPS and touch screen are quick to respond, the bluetooth music and phone works well and the OBD app is awesome (I had just replaced a faulty water pump/thermostat so this function helps monitor the different temps). Hardest part was running the microphone and the navigation antennas down the A pillar and behind the glovebox. That took me about 2 hrs of twisting my hand behind the glovebox while wiggling the cord up and down to see if I could grab it, but finally got it after I took a break to relax a bit The rest of it was done in maybe 15-20 mins. I purchased it from Autogravity, but will probably get them to install a reverse camera for me.
  2. hi guys, came across this one while looking for a new ride. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-875983720.htm Got in contact with the dude said he'd take 13.5 for it as lowest price. I was going to get a check done on it then get it shipped up here, but found an E90 323i Msport on a nice deal instead, but figured i'd chuck this up here so others could possibly take a look. Seems like a hell of a deal for the money (provided nothings wrong).
  3. Model is AMBR 1500BMW I broke the mic cable connection taking it out of my car before I sold it >_< but still have the mic and about 2-3 m of cable jsut the plug part is broken, everything else works perfectly. It's about a year old but looking for $100 Pickup is in grey lynn or can courier nationwide for $5 Its also on TM - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=880990570
  4. HI guys, Looking for MSport or M5 front and rear bumpers for an E39 touring. If anyone has them in Cosmos black that would be wicked, if not I guess I could sand and get them painted. PM me your prices please!
  5. Hi mate, Could you please PM me a price for the boot lid struts (not the glass struts but the bigger boot lid ones) Also #1 is this diagram (if they're black) http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E39-Touring/Europe/525d-M57/L-A/sep2002/browse/vehicle_trim/upper_trunk_lid_trim_panel Cheers!
  6. Cheers mate, have texted you.
  7. HI all, Just wondering if anyone here knows someone that could hook a brother up with a muffler delete for my E39 540i Msport. Don't really want to spend a bunch of cash on exhaust work, but just want to be able to hear the V8 under the hood. I've heard a lot of people say get a good tone and no exhaust drone if they just delete the muffler and leave the resonators etc in. Location is Grey Lynn, Auckland
  8. Update : Borrowed the homemade tools and all sorted out the swap over in under 5 minutes. After the ease of that I'd recommend the tool for sure. Can close the thread now Cheers!
  9. PM'd ya Dkonsta1, hopefully we can sort something out for tomorrow. I just bit the bullet and bought one on ebay so will get that in a few weeks, will probably be good to have n the kit for more DIY's as it seems like that would have to come off for a few jobs.
  10. Haha I've been trying, but I may not be swift enough! I've also tried the screwdriver thing, but it's just too fat and not long enough to stay in there.
  11. Would any of you guys have the fan clutch tool I could borrow to sort this out? I've got teh 32mm spanner but not this.
  12. Hi guys, Just got myself a 540i and the fan clutch is stuck. I have a replacement lined up but need the tool to provide the counter pressure so I can take it off. I have the 32mm spanner but not other tool (looks like this) If anyone has one in Auckland that I could borrow for a few mins/hours that would be sweeeet. I could bring you a couple of beers as a thanks. The DIY seems pretty easy (as long as you have the right tools!)
  13. Cheers mate, I tried the "cardboard test" and almost lost my hand in the process! So looks like the fan clutch is stuck engaged/sticking (the fan should be able to stop spinning on a cold engine with a thick bit of paper/cardboard and only engange when it's hot) Got a PM from Brent and got some prices so will be picking up tomorrow.
