  1. Helped push a Z4, just about blow a foo foo valve man are they heavy
  2. Nathan it has happened before to RB and other manufacturers, but my rotors looked in great condition So after I sent RB, as much info and photos as I could and offered to send higher resolution photos if required This is an excerpt from Racingbrakes response "To assure driving safety, track racing should not be rely on "track miles" or number of events, rather it's the driver's responsibility to have the brake inspected "prior" and "after" each event, and periodic replacement on pad and disc is recommended before a potential brake failure can occur" I replied with The info I provided, total miles, total track time etc The photos are (worth a thousand words) of, Ring condition and thickness, pad condition, Hat temperature and failure areas etc The links to my build threads was to show you how anal, I am with my cars maintenance and performance . All the above was provided to you to help analyze what went wrong. With the idea that I would receive a logical explanation as to why this happened and some reassurance going forward that it was safe to use your produce again. The best response I got was from a M3Cutters member Iain, His comment was that I had put approx 35 trackday heat cycles through the rotors, which I hadn't thought of. I worked out that I have done 7 trackdays, approx 5 sessions a day, so between 745-600 km.
  3. Picked up a trailer from Hirepool Sunday, Elton was nice enough to allow me to store the car in one of the garages overnight. Very funny The real worry is the Rotors looked great, at a glance you wouldn't notice the any spider cracks on the face. And as I said I had my face right in there looking when I attached the Temperature strip. I was lucy, I'd basically finished my braking and was about to turn in. if I'm reading my data correctly 139km/h down to 60km/h in 62mtrs .............. so not so scary at the time

Hey Richard I did a quick search as I'm no expert on stoker kits, but from what I picked up from a few of the threads, where it had been done. They had spent $15000 + US in the early 2000s. When 400+ hp was talked about it was said that race teams were having to rebuild the engines very 20-30 hrs. https://store.vacmotorsports.com/mobile/vac---s50b30--s50b32-euro-e36-m3-34l-premium-stroker-kit-p2363.aspx They list the parts in this kit. If you're happy with 20hp extra then a modified exhaust and a tune can do that on a s50b32 or are you looking as you have to rebuild the bottom end ?

  11. Hi guys A friend of mine is after a track day toy. He is interested in this TM Listing #: 1647326462. Does anyone have any inside info What sort of questions should he be asking when looking at a race car Cheers Mark
  12. Hi mate

It's a nice piece of kit

  13. Hi Tony While doing my vanos rebuild with a kit from overseas, I damaged the piston seal. I called into http://advancedseals.co.nz in Albany with the kit including the damaged seal. They were able to replace the piston seal (saved me a 10 day wait) but they also said they could supply all the other O rings in the kit, just not at the price I'd paid. So I'm sure that they will be able to help
