  1. I take umbrage, David at the above. I would hope you mean "If the car is driven to its full potential the use of 10w-60 maybe required" Brad, I do maybe 5-6 "driver trainings" a year. After every second training day, I do a oil and filter change.
  2. 10W-60, Have been for the last 15yrs
  3. Dropped the car off at the panelbeaters. ? guess I'm in Minnie me for the coffee meet .
  4. Hey Brad Found the rear rotors on ebay, they were custom ordered from Reyland Motorsport for a E46 cost $280gbp. But they recieve E36 ones. RM didn't want them back, so they were on EB for $140gbp + $20 for shipping. Still have to install
  5. Ye not cheap $190nz shipped, but new doors ................. That's why I have also brought (hopefully) all new clips, fasteners and grommets. And I'll be wearing a Schiedmann tee at the next coffee meeting
  6. Jonathan, there was a noticeable difference in the amount of oil after the new parts were installed.
  7. When I found oil in plenum, I replaced CCV ( oil separator) and associated parts. I even added a catch can inline. When I last removed the air intake boot, there still was a small amount of oil sitting in my plenum. With nothing showing on the catch can dipstick.
  8. Aluminium Door 13.3kgs with Window regulator attached. Arrived today, Clips, fasteners and fuel flap. Turtle Laboratories door card repair brackets And a free tee shirt ☺️
  9. Mine seized after the first use. Sprayed brake fluid every where ? took a bit to clean up, lucky I wear glasses. Once freed up, it makes bleeding the brakes easy (for mr no friends) ?
  10. Not a thing mate, the window regulators are the only parts on the new doors. Both in working condition. ???.
  11. I'd prefer they did the prep Dave so the finished product is their responsibility. They quoted $500 for surface prep, paint and feathering per side I have to remove and re install all hardware on doors and fenders
  12. What do you think By Accident, want me to, drop off the doors so they can be prepped Bring the car in a couple of days later,(with all trim on fenders removed) for a couple of days. They will paint the new doors and feather out the front and rear panels to match the doors.
  13. "By Accident" ? Made contact thanks Andrew
  14. Painted silver (over Estoril blue ? ) a few scratches on one, but a cut and polish would remove them. The other door has some .............. bubbles or small peaks sharp to the touch ? No dents or ripples, that I can make out. I was adviced to install the doors, so colour matching could be done. Do you guys think that I could get away with just dropping the doors off ?
  15. Bump, recommendations please Two aluminum E36 coupe doors, Estoril Blue
  16. You are right Dave, Steve was a pleasure to deal with, really nice guy. I've sent him a link to here. He's got an interesting build going on E36 M3 supercharged................ and more, hopefully he join and start a project page.
  17. Richard they still have some hardware attached, once I remove my hardware change it over to the new doors then ill do a befoer and after. First I need to figure out 1/ Paint them before I install any hardware 2/ Install them including hardware, (making sure everthing fits and works) strip them, then have them painted. 2/ seems the right way, for colour matching etc Looks like they were Estoril blue before being painted silver
  18. Car porn photo added, cheers Dave. Just have to work out who will paint them and the weight difference.

    Radar Detectors

Kelvin "any reason other than bad driving (speeding) to use a radar detector. " Didn't you mean ( by others)
  22. Morning James, Message me your email, I'm picking if you take the driver(me) out of the equation. You car compared to mine, weight will be a major contributor. I haven't had mine on the scales but I would guess it's around the 1480kgs min. Nik was nice enough to send me one of his sessions (E46) and he was later on the brakes and had better corner speed, but also runs slicks. A couple of years back I followed a stripped out, roll caged orange E36 328 with a slightly wild cam around HD, it was used in the targa as a lease car. I was very impressed with the speeds it carried through the corners. I was running 1.20 at that stage and couldn't get passed him. I'm still having heated discussions with my mates about removing weight eg spare wheel, jack, carpet protectors etc. They just don't get the idea that this whole project has been about how quick can a Daily Driver go............
