Thanks, looks a pretty good unit. The physical install doesn’t phase me, even the electrical side I should be able to work out. The bit that I have no experience of is the whole software / programming / configuring bit which is a concern, especially as I have zero experience of Android. I’ll do a bit more research and see what I can find as an alternative that may be easier. At the end of the day I think this unit would be overkill, 1) for me to get the most out of and 2) for what the wife wants (Bluetooth phonecalls and music streaming).

Hey @M3AN did you put one of those in your 130i? Looks pretty good, and wife is moaning about having all the infotainment in her car so could be cheaper than buying her a new car. Sounds like your impressed overall, what would be your longer version of the Review above?

Ah, but it is “surface rust only” much more desirable than that other rust.

Tidied up some crap in the garage, and found a race car hidden underneath. So decided to do a little work on one of the panels, smoothing and sanding.

Wow, and indeed whee. You hardly see any of those come up and almost never in that condition.

Looking in ETK, it’s only showing two types of fog light, with the second version being the yellow ones for the French market. Part number on the box is the Bosch part, so I can’t search that in ETK. It could well be my eyes / the photo, and it is the same as the ones on my car.

Are there two different types for PFL? These look a different shape to mine.

It’s an art piece, painted on a car. Probably of more interest to an art collector than a car enthusiast. The Jeff Koons M3 art car was awesome, one of the few recent ones that I could appreciate. 200 hours to do the paint work on this apparently, plus each of the 99 cars is different. Even the handbook folder is in four different colours of leather! I do like a bit of pop-art personally, but it’s probably a bit out of my price range.

I think the The issue would be that most of the bigger car companies don’t run out to Whangamatā that often, if you can get it to the Tron depot it should be a lot quicker and cheaper

You may have been looking at the “TARDIS” version of the iX1, I honestly can’t agree that it’s anywhere near as big inside as the iX3.

Yeah, it used to (? Not sure if it’s being sold on behalf) belong to the President of the BMWCC of NZ. Been well looked after since it’s been in his ownership.

Finally got to take a week’s holiday from work, went to Mt Maunganui for a few days with the wife for some R&R on the beach. Now looking at properties for sale at the mount and wondering if we have enough savings to retire on 🤣

Probably worth more now it’s an internets sensation!
