bump, still available for sale if anyone interested

It is a facelift M Sport E70 with the N55 3.0L Turbo engine and ZF8 speed gearbox - a very nice combination if you prefer petrol over diesel. Relatively low mileage at 133,xxx kms. Very tidy inside and out for its age. Definitely one of the better conditioned ones for this model. Has reversing camera and parking sensors installed. Keyless start and door lock/unlock which is rare for this model, 2 keys.
Fresh 1 year wof and 1 year rego all paid for. Has 2 new front tyres, engine oil and filter replaced, air, cabin and AC filters all replaced.
Listed on TM for $16900 but will take $16000
Let me know if you have any questions

I used to run 18x8.5 et22 square with 235/40/18 on an e46 coupe non M and had to roll the guards. it still would rub on bumps at speed. the guards could have been rolled a bit more though.
a good fitment example for the e46 non M is the style 193 with 225/40 + 255/35 tyres.
you can use these specs as a reference to see how the apex/work wheels might fit

the cheaper 2nd listing is probably a scammer profile that is looking to scam some poor person out of a deposit or more

Yea fair enough, the kms are very low indeed! Looks very smart in silver/black too.
Check that the expansion tank is still in good condition as thats a common part that fails and also the plastic intake pipes tend to crack around the metal clamp and cause air leaks. Cheap plastic maintenance items.

Nice seats and multifunction steering wheel!
does it have the sports button?
one cool mod you can do is called the joey headlight mod - black out of the headlight housing which is normally chrome

Hey Smithy,
Havent been on here in a while but what a nice surprise you are now the proud owner of a mini! I love them and Ive owned plenty whilst in NZ.
The N14 is not as horrible as everyone makes it out to be (if you are a car guy and a BMW fan you are already familiar with oil leaks and the like)
Most notorious is the timing chain issue but its really just because these engines love to burn through engine oil and negligent owners run the engine dry so make sure to keep it topped up or change it every 8000km (still check in between - it should be 4L).
Ive bought one before and drained the oil to find only 1.5L of engine oil come out lol.. after new oil the car ran perfect and no issues.
Walnut blast and oil catch can are both good things to do!
Good tyres will make a huge difference to grip and handling and then look at suspension bushes because most likely they are no good.
Enjoy!!
p.s. wheres the photos?

@Jacko those rotiform ZMO's are a cast monoblock wheel so its "alright"
nothing like true forged wheels but they are still a reputable brand that has built up a decent following and dont think there will be any issues

Style 193s (pictured above) fit amazingly well on an E46. And they can be found for quite cheap if you are patient.

this looks great for 20

super rare to have a 3L in a E91 msport, and knowing chris would have taken care of the car it seems very reasonably priced for peace of mind driving for many ks. GLWS

2 hours ago, topnotchrally said:Yep, ok, thanks, but I would call that a 'euro' boot lid, no? Only because it's not made for NZ, it's made for Europe. It happens to suit NZ.
correct, because nz has now adoped the "euro" plates, and the previous "NZ" plates fit fine on the non euro bootlids

this one is very high quality and cheap.
the ones with the black back is 100000x better than the fake chrome/plastic back ones.

great car for a great price given LCI/NZNEW/FSH/low kms! GLWS

I dont think its too suspicious, also since the listing is for a baur, i would imagine it could be an older person who is interested which may explain the dated(ish) email address and lack of trade history. Not everyone is constantly buying and selling on fb, they could have been referred the listing from a friend and have only used tm for a few transactions in the past etc.
As others have said, give them a call and talk in person.
Anything that suggests overseas or paypal then obviously stay away.
