slammed on compressed superlows, shortened shocks 110mm, re-spray in alpine white, 17x7 white/polished wheels, sounds etc.....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
  1. had a similar problem with my old e30 had it hooked up to diagnostic machines and everything. turned out it was a broken dizzy rotor! it was still working sometimes but where it attaches to the shaft it was split so sometimes it would move and or jump around. so have a look under your dizzy cap and check the rotor is not wobbling around..... my thoughts....
  2. that is one sweeeeeeet esky man! lovin the rat rod style lol. any why doesnt everybody just LOW UP
  3. its not very hard to do, but you need a decent lathe and very strong (eg tungsten tipped) turning bit, as the shaft is super tough and hard to get a cut going. also for the front youll need a correct die to turn the thread onto the end. i did the rears on my e30 (took off 110mm!), thanks to my old high school metalwork teacher who let me use the workshop for no charge. and because there is plenty of room above the towers i just bored out some 25mm round bar to make spacers to make up the extra length on top.
  4. yea fully. no matter how u look at it wide rims like that r guna be dare. guna be more of a long term buy for me i think haha
  5. shot bro im happy with it for now dont think this company makes them in 20's but no doubt someone does a similar style
  6. just been browsing thru some threads on http://forum.e46fanatics.com, and dayymm im starting to re-think my wheels!! i like what ive got now but i wanna go WIDE and get some mean strrrrreeeetch!!! just wondering if anyone has seen an e30 with modgies? im thinking itd look tough as, like 13x8's or something or maybe custom made rims, ive seen a set of 13x12's on the back of a rota van haha hows that for paws. so yea added to my list of mods to come, wiiiiide rims+lo pro stretched rubber and definately bolt on or re-made flares. ps: IMO wide body e30=pooos pss: heres some of the pics that coaght my eye
  7. yep its exactly 100mm front and rear to the lowest structural bit. they didnt even check the height at vtnz! but ive been pulled over a few times and had to prove it wasnt too low, with the help of my handy 100mm block of wood i keep in the glovebox hahaah.....
  8. yea good idea man, mines already manual, but i could definately do with a new gearbox if im guna start puttin more power thru it. cheers
  9. cheers for the comments guys, yea i spied the rims on trademe, theyre just cheap import ones but i thought theyd suit it alright, and yer im stoked with them, would be mean to upgrade to 18s tho. yes you read right, did those things in a week! maybe they seem a bit more in writing tho, it wasnt really much trouble haha. third car ive painted myself and first time shooting with a 2k so i was stoked a the result. i guessed the b25 would be the better option, no substitute for cubes aye. anyway ill keep yous updated, hopefuly doesnt take me too long to get some cash saved up and get my sh*t together.... oh and at the moment this beemer is my inspiration, check it out its pretty insane...http://www.dtmpower.net/gallery/photos.php?ID=105
  10. YO IM NEW TO THE FORUM so after a bit of a break since my last beemer i decided to get another e30 cos i never got over the shape, tuff as nails. ended up swapping my old subaru project for a 320i manual i not too bad condition. got it home and had a week left of holidays to do tidy it up before returning to wellington for uni. so far my progress has been: got it back to vtnz warrentable std (for the freindly nzpd's sake) -shortened back shocks 110mm so springs were captive -new tyre -took off tints and black tail lights (which were put back on no sooner than i was round the corner) -fixed rust hole in boot and gaurd she was a bit rough so i also -exterior re-spray in a slightly creamier version of factory alpinweiss (only so i didnt have to do a full strip back) -lowered the front to match the back -brand new fixed back buckkies in the front as std seats had springs coming out! -olskool sportline steering wheel -fixed up the dodgy stoner wireing for the sounds and got new 1700w amp for the subs got her all fixed up just in time, and a couple of weeks ago just put on brand new white/polished euro style rims, to replace the tacky chromes..... enjoyed it for a bit as a cruiser but now i miss having power on tap, so the plan is -an m50b20 or b25 twincam motor -turbo or vortech supercharger -and full adjustable suspensin incl. coilover rears and probably more ideas to come.... cheers let me know what yall think!
