So do I.In the past couple of months Ive sold two cars and bought a bike and none of them have been local. Wellington is a great place, but its crap for own/buying/selling cars

Finally sold. For a reasonable price, if a lot less than I was originally asking. Good luck for anyone trying to get some of the prices that Ive seen asked.

Ive explained most of it in various places. Ive owned it for two years, I bought it with 230 something ks on it and mostly used it from Christchurch to Nelson to see my gf. Now we both live in wellington and have her car and Ive just bought a Ducati so want to rationalise the fleet. Ive put a new cam belt and new tyres on it. Early on in my ownership I replaced a couple of spark plug leads as it dropped onto 5 cylinders. When I bought it I put a 1500kg towbar (most are around 1200 I think) because I used it a couple of times to tow a Datsun 160J I restored. Other than that its been pretty faultless through my ownership. I dont know anything of its history before I got it except it was sold new in Palmerston North and the guy I bought it off didnt own it for long, he intended to race it but changed his mind. I doubt anyone from BS Wellington knows the car as I have only lived here since March and it dont get driven often. However it has been to one Chch bimmersport meet, if you search back through my posts youll find it. Feel free to ask any of the people that were there what they thought of it

I dont understand why its not selling either. With all the time ive been trying Ive had a couple of people call about it but not one person has even came to look at it. People might be asking 10k plus for M325is but Id guess its been along time since someone sold one for that price unless they were extraordinarily lucky. Ive just bought myself a Ducati so I have even less reason to keep it. With this gone the other car can move from the carport to the garage and I wont have to inch past it.
  7. Thanks for the help. Car now has E36 318 springs in it
  8. Posting up a message on behalf of one of my work colleagues He has a jap import 1.9 Z3 which came from Japan with aftermarket lowered springs in it. Problem is he doesn't like it lowered and wants to put it back to standard height. I have checked with BMW and new springs are about $1200 ex Germany. Does anyone know whether any other models will fit? eg E36 or 2.8 Z3 or something else? Anyone with a standard height Z3 interested in a trade? (note I havnt discussed this with Bill so may not work)

I know theres some other ones for sale that are dearer but I havnt seen any of them selling. I just put it up for what Id be happy to get for it, if it gets bid higher that suits me too

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...980&ed=true Ive had this for a couple of years but its time to move on. Ive just recently moved to Wellington but some of the Chch people have seen this car Any questions feel free to ask here or on tm
  14. It took me 6 trips there in the end and baring the initial meeting which went fine I made it very clear I wasnt happy with them every time. Plus they supposedly close at 4.30 but a couple of times I was there at just after 4 and they were already closed, made it a PITA to even see them. Wheels are finally on the car, not much more I can do, except hopefully cost them a few customers through word of mouth. Oh they quoted me $60 per wheel which became $60 + GST (I work with that stuff every day and theyre not allowed to do that, if a price isnt said whether its inclusive or excusive its deemed to be inclusive) so all up powdercoating for 4 wheels cost me 5 x $67.50 = 337.50
  15. Could be worse. I took my gf's rims to canterbury powdercoaters and they took 6 weeks, then they did such a sh*t job one of them had to be redone (at my expense cause they reckoned it wasnt their fault). And its still that weak I suspect in a years time theyll need recoated again
