Hey my indicators have randomly stopped working (push the lever nothing will happen) car is a bmw e30 318i 1986. i installed an alarm at the start of the year but i dont think that will have anything to do with it. ive read that it could be the flasher relay thing. any comments will help cheers.

Hi, I drive a BMW E30 318i 1986 4 door manual. It currently has central locking (manual key turning not keyless entry). It unlocks all doors, the boot and fuel cover from the drivers door with the turn of the key. Also it unlocks everything if you open the boot. What I want to know is if I can install this keyless entry/alarm kit so I can unlock my doors etc from a wireless device: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=212629067 I'm not sure about actuators in my door panels and boot lining. Do they have to be electric for this to work, not air compressed. I wouldn't know what mine are. Thanks, Dan

Hi, I'm new the forums, some of you may know 'tastic', I bought his e30 318i 86' off him. About a week ago I was going down a long straight and for some stupid reason I went to 50km's in 1st gear, after that the engine just sort of cut out and the rev counter went down to 1000. I pulled over and turned the car off for a while, started it back up and still with my foot to the floor the car would not rev higher that 1000 (in neutral). So I bunny hopped half way home at a max speed of 15km's in 2nd gear, not going over 1000rpm, I pulled over again and switched the car off for a good 10mins then started it back up. It then was able to rev fine and I got home fine. Anyway later on that night I went into town and all was good but when I was sitting in my car park it started doing it again and it wouldn't go higher that 1000rpm, so I did the only thing I could do at the time and planted my foot right to the floor as hard as I could and after about 5 seconds it shot up to 7000rpm instantly. Now the car has been running fine for the last week or so but today it started doing it again so I had to plant my foot down to uncap the permanent idle at 1000. Does anybody know what is going on here, I am going to take it into a garage when I get paid. Thanks, Dan

Hi, I'm new the forums, some of you may know 'tastic', I bought his e30 318i 86' off him. I'm having some trouble with the steering, everytime you turn the wheel it makes this unbearable squeaking sound. I took the bmw badge off and took off the wheel and sprayed all the washers,bolts and nuts etc with crc but the problem is still occuring. Any ideas?
