  1. Does anyone have any experience with buying a car (In this case Mercedes, sorry) at the german factory, driving it round for a week or two in the Deutchland, then shipping it back here to NZ? I'm planning on a German trip midway through next year and thought it might be a good experience if possible (also nicer than a rental car), but have no idea of the logistics, or even the possiblilty of this. I was inspired by researching the European Devilery Program, where our yankee friends are able to do the same type of thing (albeit with many more perks). I'm meeting with the dealer next weekend, but was just after a little insight if anybody had done anything similar, or whether its worth it at all. Cheers.

  11. Going for my PPL at the moment through CAC. Flying every saturday is honestly the highlight of my week, cant wait to get up, and hate driving away from the club, its something i dont think i could ever get bored of. Not thinking about getting my CPL at the moment as i have other job aspirations, but will defiantly fly as much as i can, as long as i can, mostly for the enjoyment. If your really serious about it you need to stand out from the others as much as you can (most hours, experience, qualifications, etc). Most importantly, if you have a DIC conviction, or ever get one, consider your career gone, airlines wont trust anyone who cant control / judge themselfs. All this advice from my uncle, haha
  12. Hi all, Yesterday was the day my warrant ran out, it was also the day my left headlight decided it wanted to fail. replacing the bulb didnt seem to have an effect so i guess im now looking for a new left light cluster. Ill go take a look at eurowreck today, but if anyone else in Christchurch can help me out with one it would be much appreciated. Cheers
