  1. My personal opinion would be to leave the car fairly stock for those 3 years because there is a very high chance you will be using that policy a lot. abs Module, Waterpump/Thermostat, HPFP, OFH Gasket the list goes on.
  2. Depends who you are using to do the work. Also on the size of the repair, most stuff they wont send an assessor of for so no problem. But new turbos etc they would. Mhd and cobb tunes are easy to revert back to stock, its just the bolt ons. Eg Weigh up the cost to remove and reinstalll downpipes to the cost of the repair claim. If you are prepared for the hassle and extra cost for the performance no problem otherwise easy to leave stock and go balls out after year 3. Chargepipes , intercooler , cold air are all easy stuff you can do yourself. Personally I wouldn't mention anything about modding to the Mechanical warranty company. Also some policies have huge holes in there wording that they can be challenged on, should things get heated.
  3. Does it have a stock are box and turbo hoses? both mine are aftermarket and the spool noise is loud
  4. Mate had a new c63 and ran 12 sec flat and another mate had a tuned 4l Turbo s6 and did 11.8. It was a corporate day so were just looping through. No wait it was awesome
  5. Had a great day out. My best time was 12.4 They sprayed the track so traction was pretty good.
  6. Might be doing the 1/4 mile at Meremere this Sunday in the family station wagon 335i, depending on weather. Its my first time so would appreciated any tips. Im auto and should be mid 400 horse. I will also limit boost in 1st and second. 1. Should I turn traction control right off? 2. Start in 1st or 2nd? 3. Do I just slam the throttle ?
  7. Easier said than done, have approached a couple and if its not there tune they turned me away.
  8. The ideal gear to log in is 4th but near impossible. So third is the next best, but yes logging is hard work unless you live in the country.
  9. I have the stage 2 bucketless so will give the e60 a try. How did your HPFP look running the e60 ?
  10. Price seems high. Even with the autosure warranty you will still have the excess for each issue should they arrive Wastegate rattle Oil Filter housing Gaskets Abs/dsc Module Valve cover gasket Waterpump these are just common issues the 335i is a great car with lots of potential for more power. But they are not a worry free vehicle.
  11. Started with OTS, then went with custom map. Yeah have to send logs back for adjustment. Tunes are not self adapting yet, but the work are motion with MHD. Logging is the hardest part finding a long straight quiet road in Auckland where you can do a full rev pull in third isn't easy
  12. yes using E85 mixed with 98 pump Installed new fuel lines with Ethanol sensor and bluetooth dongle , it send s to an app on my phone showing the E% in my tank
  13. yes using E85 mixed with 98 pump
  14. Ran my first tank of Ethanol on the weekend in my 335i. That stuff is the business. I was supposed to be running the 1/4 at mere mere for a corporate day but it got rained out. The car is way more responsive and pulls a lot harder ( on the appropriate tune) . Highly recommend.
  15. Don't buy the cobb one either most reports are they are junk also. I recommend ER even VSRF are better that the ones you have mentioned
  16. If you wish to tune you will get more power from the N54. turbos/Wastegates Oil Filter housing Leak Waterpump abs pump purchase warranty for sure, I bleed autosure dry
  17. Anybody had any successful sunroof repairs done? The rear interior panel of my e91 panoramic roof is stuck in the rear ceiling of the car
  18. Any recommendations for somewhere to go for a power and torque run on a dyno? Was wanting to use Torque Performance but they are always too busy or no response. Don't really want to head out Puke or Drury either.
  19. It was a while ago but about $1300 for the diff and about 500-600 for install. Also depends on wether your factory diff is bolted or welded. They varied depending on build date, welded is a lot harder. Mine was bolted
