  1. Hi Team,

I am currently looking to retire my e46 with the way fuel price's are going and it just being a daily motorway commuter pretty much the fuel consumption on the M54 is quite high - around 12l/100km

So currently looking at the F20 series 118i/120i (alternative is a golf), dont need a big car as we use my wife's car for all the general running around.

Is there really any difference between the 2 other than a little bit of power/torque?

Is there anything to look out for with these cars? Any benefits/disadvantages between the N13 & the B38 in the LCI.

    Any advice/info would be great

    Thanks Guys

  2. 205 will be fine - had 205 on 8.5's and were barely stretched.

225's will be excessive i have them on my 9/9.5's and they are very large - you will see on saturday at the drury meet

Nice choice on the wheels though - ive been looking at them also as an extra set of wheels

    Great work.

Just curious, what type of custom clutch and flywheel set up did you go with for both? And where did you source them?

Reason for asking is i recently did a clutch in an e31 that is factory manual/m60’ Went from a DMF to a single flywheel setup and not quite happy with the amount of shudder it now has.

    cheers

Sorry to hi-jack but if you do decide to ditch the setup i'd possibly be interested in taking it off your hands. For a 6 speed box?

Oohh, that’s nice! Hard to justify for a ‘vert that doesn’t get driven in the dark though.

How does it wire up to the interior lights, does that need to be added in as well?

There is a factory wiring loom that runs along the roof cavity and down the A pillar into the passenger footwell where there is a factory plug to plug it into.

Pretty seamless and easy to install.

    GLWS brother!

  5. The power steering lines are pretty straight forward.

I made mine for the v8. only one is a high pressure hose - cut the factory fittings from the hoses and measured the length/path i wanted it to take and had hydraulink crimp the ends onto the correct hose for about $80.

The other 2 are lower pressure lines so some braid line with hose clamps works well

Nice work on the build - a little jealous of the style 32's

  6. Nice work man.

The e30 recaro seat adapter brackets are definetly the way to go with the seats as the headaches with tunnel mounting your buckles and passing cert is a nightmare. Definetly do it.

Good to see you jumped on board with the SRS bushes, the only way to correct it enough to get it centered.

Looks like you making some good progress man. Should be a weapon
