  1. 1000 dollars >insert Dr Evil <
  2. If you can afford it, get a new water pump, thermostat and housing, alloy radiaor with combined header tank and a full hose set. It sounds like overkill but otherwise you'll be chasing leaks/issues until you've replaced it all anyway!
  3. I didn't but I suppose you could to get it to fit perfectly
  4. Cheers bro haha yeah it's essential for winter Queenstown roadtrips, the gravel gets pretty intense! Yes it's an EZlip, the msport bumper didn't have enough presence so I bought the factory plastic lip, still wasn't happy but I couldn't go any lower because of the state of the roads (christchurch). So I got the EZlip, it actually looks really good for what it is, needs replacing now though as it's been on for 1.5years and gets scraped daily. It's still stuck on though! It's just looking a bit frayed along the front. Can't get a pick right now but it literally just sticks on with 3M foam tape (it's really good). Only tip is don't pull it tight as you go around the bumper corners or it deforms a bit
  5. Going to have to say Style 21. Hopefully I can afford them one day, but until then I'll have to stick to my fake Schnitzer type 2's
  6. Good job he isn't around these days to see it then i think it might actually be perfect. Yes it is, it's perfect
  7. Haha excellent break down dude! Yes well I love the e36 shape, so maybe it's worth taking mine off the road or a few years while all the awful examples die off. Who knows how it'll pan out but it's gonna be fun............and expensive.........and time consuming
  8. I was looking at all these the other day, the silver replica csl is amazing. I want it bad. I can't believe he just had the stuff hanging around on the shelf ready to go on a car when he found one
  9. M cars are always going to be awesome and I'd have one in a heartbeat. But yeh it's just fun to imagine what you can do to the car you have outside on the drive! I think I'd just be after a fast street use, so as long as it had the brakes to stop it and suspension mods to put the extra power down in a "controlled" manner then I'd be happy! Watch this space.......but don't hold your breath I've got some saving to do/a car to find that I'm happy to drive while this one is off the road
  10. Yeah it's hard to decide to take the plunge into it. A supercharged 2j would be pretty cool! If I was to do it myself rather than buy the kit, then I'm sure there'd be a lot of research into charger size, water/air intercooler systems due to space issues etc. Then to do it properly I'd want to at least rebuild the head, all leading to the car being off the road for a long while (obviously as it would be a project)! If I have a windfall I'll definitely be buying that kit then stronger gbox,clutch,diff..............ha

  12. Has anyone on here ever supercharged their BMW? I don't know why but they've always interested me more than turbos. I think it's the sound more than anything, which is why it'd have to be twin-screw rather than the centrifugal type as they're pretty quiet in comparison! Anyway I've found a company that actually make a kit for s50/m52 which quote pretty awesome power figures. It looks like a really good quality kit too! It's just a pipe dream at the moment as it's roughly 9k USD which is twice what I paid for my whole 328, but thought I'd share it as it looks cool as. You'd have a pretty unique car if you got this fitted up to it too

    E36 328 touring

Should look sweet as on any of those! Pics when you get something fitted
  14. The dealer? A lot of these engines don't get serviced properly and a lot of things go wrong, timing chain and valvetronic related because of that. It'll probably need more parts than the ones you've listed
  15. Any more where that came from dude?
  16. Are they 17 or 18? I don't know why I'm asking because I don't have 2k for wheels if they're 17's though they are my dream wheels for my e36, even if it has been done a million times before! Good luck with the sale though I assumed there's always someone after a set
  17. Looks like a really cool event
  18. Sounds like a pretty awesome solid setup I've got exactly the same bar the s52 cams (one day) in my e36 and I love the difference over standard setup. I imagine it's pretty awesome in an e30. Good look with the sale dude

    Mmm

Looks like a really nice thing!
  21. Don't think I've seen an e60 without one so I'm fairly certain you will.
  22. This is only relevant if you have an IBS (Intelligent Battery Sensor) installed from factory on your vehicle. It is a small block shaped device located on the negative terminal lead to your battery, should have a small cable going up to the rest of the loom separately to the large negative cable.
  23. The car monitors the battery charge level and current consumption of components while in use and while the car is locked up 'asleep'. It uses this info to intelligently charge the battery and keep it at an optimal charge level (this differs on whether you have a lead acid battery or an AGM battery). It learns the characteristics of the battery over it's life and adapts to it, if you don't register the new battery to the vehicle including telling it what size and type t is, it will continue to act as if the old battery was installed, which won't make anything blow up or anything but people are correct when they have told you battery life may be shortened and you may have charge issues.
