  1. Hi There,Do you have information to change the radio frequencies on a 2001 E39?
  2. Thankyou all for your help and encouragement and best of all your laughter...I will go back to the dealer and have a chat and leave the vehicle with them to rectify, in the meantime I can scout through the forums and learn as much as I can regarding bimmers and add ons for them...looking forward to the next round of talks.
  3. hehehe there is nothing wrong with a Vauxhall especially PA's as long as you use it as a show piece to hold your your beer can on hehehe that is the funniest quote I have ever read and I am impressed with this forum so thankyou I know I will get answers as and when required hehehe.
  4. hehehe run to the hills? that's what I feel like doing but I am drawn to this vehicle, I will post some pics and hopefully you will see what I mean.
  5. No worries COSMOS as soon as I get over my fits of laughter I will let you know who the dealer is..I will say here though is that this company worked extremely hard on my behalf to gain a competitive financial package and Insurance package which spanned over 3 day's so I respect them for sticking to their guns and not giving up...but yes they need to take a second look at the vehicles and match them to their service.
  6. Yes it is a fresh import and yes I am the only NZ owner thankyou for the advice.
  7. Hi Cosmos, the vehicle is NZ New but a second hand Jap import 2001 525i with M trim and tiptronic/Inline straight six, it had 122,000km on the clock when I purchased and it has been in my possession for 2 weeks, no worries I would prefer to take the vehicle to a BMW Specialist and fix the problems once and there is one around the corner from where I live but on the other hand the vehicle has a full comprehensive Insurance cover attached to it including life on myself and redundancy if I am ever forced out of my current job.
  8. I have had the vehicle in my possession for 2 weeks, yes i have one more night shift for the week and back to day's so Wednesday the car goes back to the dealer for an overhaul, thankyou M-Spec for the welcome and pics are on the way.
  9. hehe I'm afraid of dodgy mechanics who add to the problem rather than to fix it which will lead onto other problems and on and on we go, thankyou for the advice.
  10. hi there I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction, I have bought a 2001 525i (JAP Import) NZ new E39, to start with I have been having problems with the ABS light intermittently coming on maybe it's my style of driving I'm not too sure but it comes on and not long after that the automatic transmission Failsafe light switches on and gives me just 1 gear to work with, or crawl home with...not good, are they related? the final problem I am having relates to the airconditioner, it worked when I drove it off the lot but I had switched it off because it was cold and when I switched it back on because of the heat it decided not to work at all really confused right now...this is a really awsome looking vehicle and drives beautifully when everything is working the way it was designed to, I hope to sort out the above and continue learning more about this vehicle and driving as much as possible to get use to it's manner on the road....please help me!!!!!.
