  1. Hopefully not a dumbass question, but my 03 M57d powered X5 has a non functioning AC,cooling condenser fan. I'm looking to replace it, but have only found "petrol" fans that have a fractionally different oem part number , but look identical on the realoem diagram. Logic says, how different can it be? Any experience with this?
  2. Just had my time wasted by a TM "dismantler" whos 03 parts are stamped 1999... ! As far as I'm aware the panels are not interchangeable so it does have to have the "max" button. 0210796952
  3. Thought my FSU had gone one E39 no:2, but no, the actual HVAC panel is faulty... Swaped in the panel from no:1 after swapping FSU's to no avail....
  4. Nice buy! One of those is on my wishlist too. BMW straight 6's sound uber nice too.
  5. Trouble with dark cars, you need to wash them all the time. 46 wagons are cool!
  6. I'd check if the trans has had a service too. I did mine at 160km nz new and the oil was black! Yeah on the tyre thing too. My trans guy said he come across a worn spare tyre on the rear throwing the trans out of sync.
  7. Watch WOF inspections closely! I was failed on my 406 for cracked front brakelines, which when I went to replace them were fine. I cleaned the road film off them and passed the recheck. Kind of paranoid now what they will pick on next time!
  8. OK. Having seen the dire blogs online regarding these pesky transmissions I have my ZF equipped booked in for Friday for a basic filter and oil change. Currently it seems to function pretty well, but for a delayed 4th to 5th shift sometimes. Any heads up on what oil to insist on?
  9. Does anyone know a reputable outlet selling these new at a fair price? The ones along the bottom of my rear pop out windows are cracking up. Cheers
  10. Nice work! Well worth the effort with that colour.
  11. Yip, I less and less fancied wrapping myself and my wife around a power-pole, so the grin factor was wearing a bit thinner than it had been in the early days. Also having a back seat is now a requirement in my household these days.
  12. Hi all, Had a busy month! I decided that after 5 years of Zed car ownership, the niggling rattle in the hatch outweighed the 300 and something horsepower at 11,000 rpm and 135 decibels wasn't quite me any more. Long story short, after listing on Tard Me for a few weeks, having 40 odd watchers no bidders and multiple swap for Mitsi offers, I'd snap up an offer to swap trade on a tidy NZ new E46 328i. I thought, at least it'd be tradeable in the future not being built before the Berlin wall fall. Not a big fan of owning a Granddad spec sedan just yet, but increasingly impressed with the new Bavarian trade, I decided to on-sell promptly and... yay!!! I have a Kiwi new 2001 330ci in green with tan leather. M-sport of course...Hope the pic works...
