  1. Nitrous, tubbed rear, and a parachute. Awesome on the quarter mile
  2. I've been a (paying) Flickr consumer for more than ten years; for hosting your images they're rather good. The now free service is excellent when compared with photobucket. hth
  3. That's not an oil leak! You should try living with a turbocharged Volvo, that's more like an oil leak! ?
  4. sounds like plenty of fun, Steve. the world loves e46's! Welcome!
  5. LHD in an LHD market - no worries. I lived in a LHD market for three years, drove stick, quite happy doing it. It's the impracticality of driving LHD in NZ that makes any decision to do so here 'questionable'. You'll recall driving in Europe while driving on the right of the car; it's doable. That's the difference, though. Visiting, vs Residing. I'd just buy the factory RHD headers for the M5 and be done with it.
  6. F*#k that for a game of skittles. I'd be buying it to drive, here in NZ. I have zero interest in matyring myself to trainspotting notions of originality! Tried carparks, or open-roading in NZ in a left-hooker? ?
  7. that dry sump setup is the bomb. just wow.
  8. wow. there ya go @kiwi535 I reckon a budget of $20k and this would on the road in right hand drive and totally sorted. not even a diamond in the rough, she's a beauty. Even has her own theme song!

    Quick rant thread.

That's right, look on the bright side! Preventative maintenance for a grand, or a rebuild for $4-5k after it sh*ts itself (rebuild, cooler and hoses, fluids, parts, sundry items, labour).

WTF? I thought that AA came with a tow if the serviceman can't effect a repair on the side of the road. Didn't you get AA Plus??

I bought a genuine ZF integrated filter and pan recently for ZF6HP26 for under USD120. includes drain plug, magnets, gasket.... I didn't think that was expensive.
  12. I've mentioned this to a mate, he's considering.
  13. very exec. looking sharp! congratulations.
  14. I love that the vendor talks about the bulletproof V8. Overlooking timing guides and chains!
  15. about this far...https://youtu.be/5W4YT3CcoWU Looking forward to seeing images of your e60 Diesel, Graeme!
  16. yes, prior to acquisition of 545i. As Midge Ure covered....
  17. Yeah I was going to suggest 1050kms. I guess that's because I was investigating oil burners recently. Graham, it could be the e46 tank featuring the 'drop like a rock' float.
  18. Hi Damo, welcome along. Which 530i? (Sorry if it's in your profile, I'm reading on handheld)... if it's an e61 the rings are part of the headlamp and have a tricky little bulb. caution warranted with RGB, the good old NZ Road Code talks about "no red lights to the front", limits use of blue lights, etc. There's a fine balance between what looks cool and being a twunt on the road (such as the guy who passed me in opposite direction recently in a red Ti with red angel eyes and red sidelights). you should find a bunch of helpful info, and even some meets in your area (check out the meetings room). cheers
  19. I see youve got your handbrake on while photographing - that's 7 bonus HSE cones for you mate.
  20. "pics, or it didn't happen"! welcome to the e60 Reprobates**, Graeme! ** well, it sounded better than e60 Mafia.
  21. Yes he loves to skewer Holden and Ozcars in general, and seems to spruik Kia and Hyundai as stellar value (pun intended). i do like his operation for buying new cars.
  22. He takes the piss a lot, with his own brand of humour. I've been watching some of his other stuff, and if you can filter out some the presentation aspects he's usually bang on the money. he's nothing if not consistent.
