  1. Has anyone looked at this car? Early 330i in Boston Green with very tidy cream leather interior, It’s been for sale for ages, price actually went up a while back from below 5k. Looks like a very nice car and was apparently close to sold on more than one occasion. Just curious as to what may be the issue stopping the sale. Dealer seems to have some nice straight stock and comes across pretty well.

    Key Coding E90

Thanks , Dumb questions have now concluded.

    Key Coding E90

I have seen two e90 330i’s for sale from the same dealer. One has higher kms but has 2 original keys, the one that is more appealing only has one key. If the dealer agreed to provide the extra key from the other car is it possible to have this key coded to the other vehicle ?
  4. Thanks for all the input, have learned to look for headlight washers to indicate xenon headlamps, the seat warmers are easy enough to spot if the interior pics are good enough. The VIN finders can be helpful as well to list specs but not sure how accurate they are. Getting better at discarding the overpriced underspecced offerings and narrowing the field down.
  5. Yeah 335 is not on my radar, we have a GTi Golf and one anxiety generator is enough for me.
  6. Yes thats a nice wagon, really like the wagons actually
  7. Also built in SA, he did send a FPO some time back for quite a bit less than Buy Now Any thoughts on SA built models?
  8. Not quite first, our Daughter had a 318Ti which really gave me the bug for BMW’s. Have been looking for some time now at a very nice 2008 330i in the South Island with low KMs, NZ new and a very good price. What gives me pause is its been on TM for over 12mths and hasn’t sold. Have only seen it online. Looks like a real peach and I cant believe its still for sale. Just not quite in the position to push the button on this one. Sadly it doesn’t have heated seats but its non i-Drive and has non wood veneer interior. The only issue I am aware of to take precautions with is the water pump which I could happily get new for around $650 ex UK. They have so many plus points; No GDi, very reliable transmission (as far as I am aware), not too many electronic items to go bad (Re: Volvo V70 T6 which was another on the wish list) and naturally aspirated. Seems like the perfect package also with 270hp. Also have a great BMW mechanic who knows them inside out.
  9. Are there any issues I should look for before buying ?
  10. Hey there, first timer so be gentle....took an 130i Msport for a spin today, auto box, paddle shift is neat. Engine is glorious after my wife's Peugeot (car would be for her to drive) ride was not as harsh as I expected. Feels tight as a drum and has 103K on the clock. Boot is a little small, interior is great, real metal detailing rather than silver plastic. Steering feels great, why don't more manufacturers make steering wheels that feel this good? Massive dumb reason to buy a car by a huge smile maker. Hoping she will say yes.... its her money after all before anyone says "just buy it"
  11. Hopefully wont be the last, just secured a 98 318Ti for my Daughter, bought it from a friend who knows/wrecks/services them inside out (all Beemers) and will be collecting it next week. Have always had a lot of respect for the brand and hope to get one myself in the future. While I am here, does anyone have a suggestion for stopping the headlining coming away? I notice it is just staring to bubble on the underside of the C pillar, thanks. Lucky to have a passionate BMW fan to work on the car and provide advice, crucial for European cars in my opinion.
  12. Have just purchased 98 Ti, have yet to collect vehicle but I note that the key fob has buttons for remote locking/unlocking (I assume that is there purpose) but the seller told me it doesn't have remote locking. I didn't try it but is Is it likely that the batteries are flat or the remote is kaput and he doesnt really want to shag around getting it sorted? Batteries I can easily replace but I am wondering if anyone can tell me how much of a drama a new remote is for this model plus having it coded or synced of whateverthehell is required? thanks in advance, I know NOTHING about Beemers but am looking forward to learning.
