Any probs getting a WOF with the headlights tinted? Which product is it? Tint or Gunsmoke? Nice car BTW, on TM now is it? what's next?

My grill/grille? cheers it's alright aye. Glad I went gloss not matte and standard design over the double fins looking ones.

Have had the parts for a while so finally replaced my grills with gloss black ones, side indicators with smoked black ones and an all black roundel on the hood and steering wheel. Dirty car, wet and dark so photos crap, but when I do boot roundel (ordered wrong size!!! new one coming) and black 545i badge I will take some better ones. Not 100% sure if it's what I want, will see in the light of day and time, but nothing that can't be undone.

Have seen two stunning E34's, a white 540i with a nice exhaust note in Moray Place and a light blue one with a M Sport badge on the front grill in South D, looked nice and think it had throwing star rims. Seen quite A few nice Bimmer's out and about lately and since we've had the 545i my 8 and 10 year old girls are noticing them and starting to call the correct series;-) haha I see this corker M3 in town most days: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1290517123

It's an interesting looking car this, something just doesn't quite add up with it, dunno what and don't know enough about E34's to judge. Like the colour with the tints and shadow line. Mind you there's weirder things than this on there, the silver E60 525i that sold tonight with the M5 sticker on the steering and the maroon E60 530i advertised as an M5 and even has an M5 badge on the boot but on the left hand side.

Has the centre of the 530i grills been blacked out, looks like it in the photo anyway, looks good. I have bought full black grills for mine and the all black roundels, unsure whether to use yet.

Yea looking forward to trying that one day, although not sure it needs it yet from what I've read about when to do, still cleans up nice and water beading well. Have thought about giving it a proper polish and wax once the wash and wax product I have has run out. Bought one of those foaming spray guns from Repco this week, $30 down from $75, see how that goes. Have also bought some touch up paint to have a go at the few stone chips on the front bumper and maybe hood if it goes ok. Should've taken your advice and done all eight coils, running rough again!! 8 plugs and coil on cyl 8 last time. When's ya roadie, sounds like a good bunch up there, few things happening. Any chance you could send me a link for the new shocks you've ordered please? Cheers

Ignored it!! because it's miss firing and or running rough again!! and took Maximus instead. Gloss black grill, black 545i boot emblem plus full set of all black roundels (hood, boot, steering wheel and wheel centers), have all turned up but unsure if they will go on yet. Also smoked black side indicator lights on the way.

Congrats on your purchase, that's how I feel too. Will be keeping an eye on anything you do especially when replacing wheels and tyres, while I like mine to look at they don't ride very well.

Nice, it's a constant battle we have, even I had it between the reliable barely missed a beat Maxima or a European V8!! even now I'm looking at ways I could maybe get into the M5 down here, I emailed him saying I was a tyre kicker and keen for a blat if he was up to it, he said while as fun as that maybe he doesn't have time...

Cheers, I just dropped it to my local garage on Hillside Road, will see what they say on Monday. Will keep K&G McCloud in mind definitely. Has service stamps from new, no information just that it's been done, have thought about trying to get history from previous garages up in Christchurch.

Yea cheers, nice to see a local face, well profile. We'll see how much I want to spend on function v's the current form;-) do like these wheels. Had thought if I could sell these Niches for roughly the cost of some nice 18's it might be worth doing. Will see how much my rough running issues set me back too.

Fair cob on the ticket, my brother in law's a cop so no malice and they're doing their effing job, was disillusioned and wondering why we bother buying these cars we can't really drive properly, got a mate with two Porsches and he must be in agony driving.

Yea I like Motorsport rims, you not like the DTM M6 rims? I found a pic of a black E60 with them on, looked good. Or is it because they're knock offs/ not as good a quality? Had a laugh before when I saw a post you made in October about not buying an M5 as you needed to get your moneys worth out the 545i, LOL too good a deal aye? fair enough too, I would if I could. Is the M5 the one on trademe listed a few times and the owner was also selling on here etc seemed like he had to sell vs wanted to sell?

Do you want them, rides pretty harsh although sticks to the road like poo to a blanket. Although one big speeding ticket in so can't push it now for two years!!! thinking about some 18' DTM M6 rims from Hyper drive, get some height back in the side wall and some smooth ride back.

Yea cheers, ashamed to say I forgot about them and they're maybe six blocks away, although only on line. Used them a few years ago with E39. Thanks for reminding me.

Not sure on vacuum leaks, had a good look around engine but don't really know what I'm looking for, assume battery OK. Cheers
