  1. Hi, If I import the motor, Is there anyone in Auckland who will do the replacement for me? Drainage got blocked over last winter and I believe the roof motor got submerged. The roof button lights when pressed but no motor sounds. Windows do go down. Keen to hear any quotes! and/or known good places to get it done and the cost there!
  2. Hi, I'm having issues with my headlights. They failed vtnz wof due to needing adjustment. Neither the vtnz guy or my new mechanic can adjust them because the previous mechanic a couple years ago worked on them in such a way my new mechanic says 1 of them need total replacement. Instead of the mission and spending ~$400 for a second hand headlight, I'm wondering if I can completely replace both headlights with some angel eye projector headlights ~$880. Is that legal? From what I can gather from wof rules you can't put hid bulbs in halogen headlights but you can replace the entire headlights with hid? 2004 E85 3.0i Thanks.
  3. Hi, Currently I have an AA Brand 3662 CCA 640 RC 125 A/H 72 Battery. I've had the car for 3 years, unknown how old the battery is. Finally after my 3 years anyway the battery is practically dead. I have to jump my car almost every time I go out now. I cannot find the dimensions for this battery anywhere online. I'm after a high performance replacement so any recommendations would be great. Now why the battery has died is quite often on weekends at my mates place I'd have the stereo/sub/amp playing for quite a few hours and I would have to jump it the next day, so I totally understand why the battery has finally given up. I guess the secondary question is what else do I need besides a new battery to help prevent this in the future? Some kind of capacitor thingy? Are they easy to install? Any direction in that would be great as well. Have a good summer. Thanks.
  4. Thanks I'll get back to you when I get a proper cable. Met up with a guy who had Carly n that didn't work/ the option wasn't even there so I suspect my only option left is the ncsexpert/cable cause apparently that can do stuff/go deeper than carly. I've done some research on the cable as well and I believe I need one with the switch since I've got a 2004 model. Am I correct so far?
  5. Is anyone in Auckland got the carly adapter/software (or any other method) can code a 2004 BMW Z4 E85? I just want to open and close my soft top from the keyring.... Willing to pay a reasonable price. Thanks.
  6. Hi, I have an E85 Z4 with xenon lights. I've been having troubles with my low beams on one side of the car - replaced bulb, replaced igniter and neither fixed the issue. Tried the igniter and bulb from the working side and that didn't work either (when put back in its original side it worked again). Even after taking to a euro mechanic he wasn't completely sure either even after taking bumper off. He said controller might need replacing as well. So I'm thinking of using this opportunity to get some rgb angel eyes installed instead of spending more time and money trying to fix the current system. There is a few things I want to know first: a) will any problems be carried over to the new system/does an angel eyes system use the same controller? b) will the light switch in the car control the angel eyes or will I have to use the remote or app? also from my understanding the z4 lights need to be cut open to put in the eyes then re-sealed. I am ok with that as the cut is not visible when the headlight packages are back in their place. So yeah, I want to buy the angel eyes so I am interested to hear prices for that (and prices for non-rgb lights as well) but I am mostly interested in knowing the installation price as I can source the rgb angel eyes myself possibly. Thanks.
  7. Hi. I'm a first time BMW / Z4 buyer and my front tires will fail wof due in february. Im thinking of going to non runflats because everywhere I read it says it'll be a better ride. My choice at this point is michelin pilot sport 4's as they seem to be a real good tire winning heaps of tests according to http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre-Tests/#summer. The back run flat tires still have plenty of tread so I have no intention of replacing those at this stage. Is this an ok/legal thing to do? I have a 2004 Z4 3.0i. Thanks.
