  1. A long while back I picked up a purple tag rack that had a crack through the housing - as pictured. Over the last week I've put all the purple tag insides into an E36 housing I had lying around. Took the opportunity to check, clean, regrease all the seals before reassembly. Now it's done I don't actually need it, so rather than putting it back on the shelf I thought I'd offer it to Bimmersport peeps. Comes with the original purple tag as shown in photos and E36 inner tie rods and E46 outers. The only difference in housing between the e36 and e46 is the breather pipe across the top. Pickup Howick or can freight $25 to main centres. If wanted I can include all the E36 and E46 pieces not used.
  2. Pulling out of storage this weekend, PM me if you're interested. Shipping from $25 (large / heavy). Cheers
  3. Two options for these: Traditional style conversion joint, E30 firewall end grafted onto a Holden Barina joint. 1x of these left in stock, ready to ship More able to be built if needed - all I need to know is whether you have the short or long joint in your car, and spline size at each end (13mm/16mm or 16mm/16mm). New Slim line conversion joint setup for E30 but could also work in E36 / E46 to give you more space by the headers 20mm diameter shaft. Late model unit 5x in stock ready to ship I've sold lots of these now both in NZ and overseas. All come with 4 page instructions to install correctly, however with all steering and brake items these are at your risk. Note: there are many shops selling 'racer products' universal steering joints however certifiers don't like them as they're often questionable quality metal. Using OEM parts in the above options reduces this issue and both options are collapsible unlike BMW options. Post $10 to main centres or $14 to RD's, fully tracked to your door. Barina style Slimline
  4. now have yellow tag ex e46 m3 as pictured $250
  5. Sold pending. I might have another couple on the way so if you’re looking just pm me and I’ll let you know when they arrive
  6. After an e46 steering rack to mock up a new steering joint solution with. Don’t care if it has split boots, no ends etc, but the main spline and housing have to be undamaged. Prefer pickup in Auckland but will look at shipping options cheers

Great thread and attention to detail @hqstu, glad to see these being 'saved' hold my beer while I jump on the interwebs searching for a 540i M touring....
  8. WTB, paying $20 each plus shipping. Need a few more to complete customers' conversion joints. Will buy bulk if you have them Cheers
  9. Alright peeps I have 10x steering joints arrived from the land of Oz. These are all UC Barina / Opel Corsa joints as have been used many times in both my own cars and others when putting purple tag, green tag, yellow tag (E36/M3/E46/Z3) steering racks into an E30. I supply 2 versions of this: 1) Joint as is with end cut off ready to install the E30 upper joint. I will also include a 4 page DIY guide. $60 + post 2) Complete unit - this requires you sending me your E30 joint and I'll send you back a complete joint ready to go into the car. $130 + post I also sell the 14mm rack spacers needed to mount the E46 rack into an E30. These are machined from billet aluminum and are $20 a pair I've done plenty of these setups for people all over the world. Obviously with all steering, braking and suspension components, installation and use is at your own risk. Note the fully polished complete unit was a custom request. Units do not come fully polished.
  10. Purple tag rack, cleaned and inspected. New rack boots installed since pics. Will come with E46 inners but no outers. $250 pickup Howick or can arrange post (won't be cheap)
  11. Sorry no more available, I sold up everything when I sold my E30. Tip tho - e46 compacts tend to have purple tags…
  12. Final update on the car - I’ll leave this thread up to assist others. After much frustration with wiring, expensive bills that seemed never ending, it actually passed a VTNZ wof (which it then needed to fail for the cert...) and had cert booked. However it wasn’t running well and struggling when VANOS kicked in. What I hadn’t realised was that this was due to the oil pickup gradually getting stuffed full of metal filings. Queue 2 big end bearings shot, one brand new oil pickup toast, non running engine and more bills to diagnose said engine I was over it. I sold it from the workshop, never even got it back home. Learnings? Rust is balls, and M52B28 engine would have been easier.
  13. Per title after a round tow hook cover to help a mate out as someone has swiped his (why?!?) If anyone has one spare and can ship ASAP that'd be awesome. Don't mind the colour, I'll paint it anyway. Saves us importing one... https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-76553-51117207299-genuine-bmw-part/
  14. Indeed they would. @DRM PM me if you're keen, they're advertised in the For Sale section and on trademe

  17. Per title, 4x E36 17x7.5 [SQUARE] set of genuine wheels. Recently resprayed inside and out, curbing fixed etc. Paint job isn't show quality but is tidy. I've only done 20km since respray. All wheels freshly balanced. M stickers and centres on all 4 wheels. 2 tires are Pirelli Dragons 3-4mm tread 2 tires are Bridgestone MY02's 5mm tread. Pickup Howick Auckland, no shipping unless you arrange yourself. PM me if interested. Advertised elsewhere
  18. Not in E39 that I'm aware of, and I've looked under plenty. Worth checking your 330i M to see if it does. Super easy, jack up the front and look at the underside of the steering column.
  19. Nice progress! While I remember have someone remove and press in a new gearbox seal. It’s a PiTA job.
  20. Seems most places here are out of stock / long back order. So before I order from overseas, does anyone have a spare pair of hubcentric 10mm wheel spacers? Need them for a cert. bolt pattern: 5 x 120 centrebore: 72.6mm
  21. I use e36 outers and e30 inners. E36 outers cheapest from partmaster @Olaf if you need any parts or help let me know mate
  22. Also finished the lower rear quarter so I could finally fit the rear bumper and battery in the boot. For the mess that it was it has come up really well. Glad I replaced the whole section. Post welding the section was sprayed with zinc etch primer and filled before having textured finish sprayed on to match factory.
  23. Been keeping busy on the last remaining tasks before wof and cert in the coming weeks. I’m refurbishing the m3 wheels this week and fitting the 16” pusher fan. In the meantime here’s some pics. Pretty happy with how it’s turned out
  24. That rear panel doesn't look bad mate. A patch would suffice I'd say vs replacing the whole panel. Unless there's other damage?
  25. Sorry mate I don’t but if you’re in a pinch they’re $18 from repco click and collect and I can send you my repco vip number for discount
