  1. Such an insane buy for $8800 this car has real potential!!
  2. Michael.

    E39 oil burner

Now you can charge the Leaf remotely!
  3. Dang, what a bargain haha
  4. Awesome Jon you must be very happy. The Aplina cast block is what gets me, I wonder if there is more information about it. Is it a M62 block design but just improved to meet their specs for 4.6L, does the same supplier of BMW make it? Are these blocks only used in E39 B10 cars? Such a special step you don't hear about too often, talk about an expensive way to increase performance haha. Very cool either way.
  5. Thats awesome. Quite the upgrade from the stock L76 spec.
  6. Love some Holden action. Impressive results, looks like a fun cost effective build! What model engine spec is this?
  7. Isn't this how everyone works on their cars? haha It's enjoyable making a somewhat detailed post update on each little thing, reminds me of what I've done otherwise it does become a bit of a blur. I feel bad cluttering up the server with so many large images. Hope this is ok admins?
  8. I'd love a vapor or sand blasting cabinet, it's been on my mind! Moving house next year so will hopefully end up with a larger garage setup to have tools like that. For now I don't mind the old chemicals and tooth bush clean up, it's a bit slower and may miss a couple of things but its 95% there. To be honest I kind of enjoy the slow clean up process. Certainly not a race haha, but I wouldn't do it again unless I had better clean up tools.
  9. Staying away from the N62 would probably be the first best decision.
  10. I used classic car for all my cars, they even do the Surf, but that is the most expensive
  11. If anything I could almost see more people just ending up holding onto their old cars, factoring in fuel vs service costs. $100-$150 on fuel a week verses an outlay of 5 figures for a relatively expensive electric car that you wont see benefits from for years (based on current fuel savings) is not going to appeal to a lot of people, let alone be possible for them even if in the long run they might save a few thousand a year on running costs, but it's a long game.
  12. I wonder what they mean by this Cheaper to run on electricity when the subsidies expire, electric RUCs are added and electricity prices rise? Will be curious to see what the costs end up being. Cheaper to buy electric cars when semi affordable used ones have 50-60% battery health and new ones are way more than most low to average income owners would want to spend verses a 5-10k used Japanese import (eg Corolla) A lot of things to play out, I'll watch with interest.
  13. I honestly wonder if the sale will go through. Seems like the seller just lost out big with a silly mistake. Could have probably got double if not into the teens easily. Everyone would pay $4,200 for it haha
  14. Dang, I adore this attention to detail. Have you done any work similar to this type of manifold design and construction? Seems like it's not your first time.
  15. Love it Any pictures of these furances / kilns? They sound super interesting
  16. We should get tax rebates since we're buying car parts, we are keeping our cars on the road pumping CO2 out for the trees to thrive which improve crop yields and greening of the planet. More busy courier vans is probably a good thing too.
  17. I've made nearly a dozen FCP orders now, it's amazingly cheap and fast with Fedex, can't go wrong at all. Probably one of the best online shops I've ever dealt with, Rock auto is also excellent, and then Pelican parts.
