I have Pilot Sports on the 540is and they were good but are close to replacement now. I like the look of the Goodyear Asymmetric 6 for $200 each. The reviews are very good.
Reviews are good and they are 70% off at Hyperdrive.

My Falcon Turbo was a good tyre tester. Had brand new Re002 on it, they were great until half worn, they were then so bad I replaced them. Had Roadking (Korean something), they had surprisingly good straight line grip wet or dry, but terrible wet weather grip sideways, possibly from the noticeably softer sidewalls(?). Then Continental something 5, sport I think. They were pretty good, although got a sideways drift out of a hairpin on the Coromandel road with family in the car that I wasn’t expecting, never felt great about their performance. Then my favourites, Pilot Super Sports, would have again, got destroyed by a cut in the road taking out a rim in the process.. Finally, some Federals, seemed ok, but sold the car before having much time with them. Cheap or relatively pricey, I still think they are a lottery, but agree that cheaper seems to equal worse in the wet in general.

My insurer (who to be fair is otherwise excellent) told me they wouldn’t give their lifetime guarantee on the repairs if BMW did it as they weren’t an approved repairer. Otherwise, I was free to use them.
I said I’ll take the punt.

Yes, couldn’t have written “don’t buy this”more clearly.

That’s pretty good, shipping was only €70 from memory.

Amazon package 'attempted delivery failed, unable to locate premises" on Friday. Delivery location...
Auckland Museum, Auckland Domain, Parnell 1010, Auckland, New Zealand. And they have delivered there many times. 🙄
Yes, that's the correct address. And it's a pretty big building, in a pretty big park. Any courier driver that can't find that shouldn't be in the "profession".
So I called them and confirmed the address. Now, tracking update Monday "Held in Problem Freight", called them again, new tracking update Tuesday "Held in Problem Freight", called them again, new tracking update Wednesday "Held in Problem Freight"... ffs.
Their offshore call centre can't transfer me to "Problem Freight" (despite tracking updates imploring me to talk directly to "Problem Freight" because even they can not call this department, they can only message them. So Customer Service can do nothing except regurgitate what is available on the public tracking site. smh.
We never have any problems with our local Aramex courier (touch wood), had a minor Fedex problem last week (Tried to deliver) that extended it out by a week with no updates.
Ordered from Amazon Au yesterday, package delivered this morning in less than 24 hours. Take a bow DHL.

Hard to believe given the value that it was written off. Never seen a red interior before and that’s some quality work to locate the aftermarket mic for Bluetooth.
Surely that will be back on the road? -
Waze works well on our mostly central-upper North Island trips. Freaked the family out the first time it reported police ahead and they were there.

Yeah, I sent an overnight package to Wellington that arrived after 6 days.
Spareto does use DHL and they have been pretty accurate in the past, including Sunday deliveries.
-
Spareto says €350 delivered. Says it will be here in 4 days and they are normally pretty accurate. Although factor in Nz incompetence at this time of year.

They're both a nice drive. Your $6k discount is directly attributable to Dieselgate!
And for ruining the market perception of diesel forever.

Pretty sure they’ve dropped the price substantially, I think it was $8.5-9.5k.

it’s for sale. -
While I'm at it, best place to get SI board batteries and are there different types?

Better than what I’d come up with.

Here you go, even more niche. What was the market for these?

E34's are the more durable engines, drivetrains and cost less to maintain and stand more a chance to survive. I see plenty of low k E34 540i's which are probably still rocking mostly original parts.

Interesting to see what this goes for
$3,060. That seems like a lot for some twisted sport seats and an unknown condition motor.

Nice job. Well worth it at that money.

Garagistic order of speedo gears and rear shock reinforcements arrived today after 5.5 weeks. Well, the packing slip did. Parcel cut open and taken. Who sends parcels with “Authority to leave?”
