  1. Genuine Momo steering wheel boss kit for late type E28 and E30s. Should also fit E34, possible E36 etc as to my knowledge the steering wheels interchange (though this could be a case like my diff so do your own research). Model number 2006. $80. Pickup from Panmure or can post for $10 (non rural).
  2. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1468423347 Looking for $80K!! One of 2 NZ New E61 M5s.... 54KMs late model I drive fitted by BMW $5000 carbon fibre intake system imported from the UK ( original still with car) built in laser radar detector
  3. Hey guys. I've found another project car, so up for sale is my beautiful E39 540i Msport on genuine BBS wheels. This car has an amazing history of maintenance and receipts totalling $25k+ Car has done 188,000kms, this will go up as its my daily. Major things that have been replaced/repaired are: - The tiptronic trans has been rebuilt - $5k receipt - Cooling system has been replaced - $2k receipt ** Timing chain tensioner has been replaced - this is an important one, not many E39's for sale out there that have had this taken care of. - Belts have been done within the past couple of years. It's very tidy inside and out and drives beautifully. The leather is in great condition. Has the factory head unit but has had after market speakers, amp and sub installed, sounds very good. All windows work, sunroof works perfectly and the rear pop up blind works great too. A previous owner has installed an oil catch can and deleted the rear muffler, the car sounds lovely with a few pops and crackles on decel, but not obnoxious. Things that I would look into if I were to keep the car are: - Very slow oil leak - I think this is coming from around where the oil catch can has been installed, if not it's probably a seal. The amount of oil is very little. 3.9k ONO. Test drives are welcome and encouraged. Car is located in Glenfield. --- Note: car will come on BBS wheels in the first image. Cheers.
  4. Merry Christmas to me... After 2 visits to view car, I made the offer and it is mine... a 3rd trip on the buses and trains to Auckland to drive it south.. I'm essentially the 3rd private owner, last owner 10 years, with a pile of receipts... So far it's had a damn good clean (wasn't even vacuumed), 2 oils leaks fixed (filler cap and sump drain plug), the lights sanded and polished, the interior mirror glass replaced, and more parts on the way... and more and more cleaning and detailing.... Drives good... mostly everything works... but got a big list of things to do.... wheels, emblems, windscreen trim, fan clutch, filters etc etc.
  5. According to @BreakMyWindow this is an member's car . ... and it does look very nice in anthracite. 2000 - with 145KMs on it and asking price of $28K ONO. Seems reasonable. Love the 2-tone leather interior.
  6. got this listed here if anyone is interested call me 021433600 https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1417893652&ed=true
  7. A somewhat unusual E60 M5 for sale in auckland at Buy Right Cars with asking price $37,980. I thought the "Unusual Edition" was a good badge, it's Indianapolis Red with White Leder interior, and only 40k kms on the clock. Please refrain from commenting that the low mileage is due to the previous owner was to scared to be seen in public in it; the buyer may ultimately join our ranks! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1320656610.htm Nice to see an alternate hue. At first I thought the images had bad white balance... Then I did a google search on Indianapolis Red and found it is kinda rusty looking red; "a bit ginga" if you like. It's striking, I kinda like it. And here's that Nissan Maxima wood again... ....and, the obligatory rearshot: Sassy!
  8. Looks like these guys are on a race to the bottom http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1356939622.htm
  9. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1362350183 98kms NZ GPS Band expander????? Really? Hmmm - doh. Hopefully re-coded Aux port Has PassPort Max wired in but costs extra to leave it in .... Airbag sensor error and downshift paddle not working.
  10. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1358361377 102kms $23900 ONO! Think I might have posted about this one before :| I think if you like the white leather (I do) and can keep it clean then this is a good proposition. Very tidy and well maintained by the looks of things. Has both timber and aluminium trim. "It's had a gearbox/clutch done and brakes/discs at 98000kms. I've serviced / replaced other things such as fuel filter / air filters / idle actuators, carbon fuel canister's, secondary air pump. Also has x4 new tyres."
  11. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1348042416 Seen this one about a couple of times, appears very very nice. Think the owner was/is on this group? Good colour too...
  12. AP Suspension 40/30mm lowering springs for E28. Less than 2 years old. Rears have had one coil cut to even out the height as the back sat too high as they were. They are still fully captive on stock length shocks and seat properly, once installed it is impossible to tell this has been done as it's one of the dead coils at the top and rests against the rubber pad in the top mount. $200. Pickup from Panmure, Auckland or can post at buyer's expense. How my car sat with them (with M30 bear in mind)
  13. Have any of you seen this site in the States and asking prices: http://enthusiastauto.com/ Wonder what the sale prices are...? Low mileage cars but crikey....!

    Wheels

Can anyone shed some light on these wheels, they appear very similar to style 166 rims but aren't 19's. Are they an 18 inch reproduction? I'm considering getting some 18's and powder coating them gunmetal grey, was really looking for a set of 135's but these may work also. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/auction-1310556400.htm
  15. can you beleive it? all the options, different S motors, M3, M5, simple V8's, M motors.... and here's the GRANDADDY! - S85B50A. - 5.0 Litre V10. 90 degree bank angle, 507 hp (378 kW) @ 7750rpm/520 N·m (384 lb·ft) torque @ 6100rpm - LESS ACCESSORIES. LONG BLOCK. - DONOR CAR DONE 213000KM. And under $7k by the looks!
  16. As per the title, any throwing stars, turbines or even naked rims out there? Will also consider Hartge, Alpina, Ac Schnitzer or BBS in 16/17x8 (9 ok for the back), the lower the offset the better.
  17. Hi all - having just acquired @treone's awesome E60 M5 I'm wondering about the best place to get a bonkers vehicle like this serviced. I've been a loyal customer of Driscoll Motors on Walter Street for longer than I care to remember. They're a good bunch and service all makes and models including plenty of euros (inc this M5 BTW - and some AMGs) - but a specialist they are not. By default I'll keep going there and another bonus is that they are familiar with Autosure/Vero and have made sure my policies are being used when they can/should. They have done a solid job with my E53 X5 and E60 545i - only thing that they couldn't sort was troubleshooting/replacing the iDrive on the E60 and they don't have the BMW detail module for the AutoLogic code scanner (provides some more detailed explanation of the codes). So - interested in your thoughts and recommendations - what (if anything) would I gain by switching and using somebody like Page European etc? Cheers, Pete
  18. Love these in blue and looks great with M6 wheels - but I think the white interiors look better with the wood trim rather than the silver/alu. Always seem to be a good spread of performance vehicles on the mainland http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1279490922 $31K 119KMs NZ GPS HUD Has had clutch done and SMG actuator replaced Modified exhaust
  19. Finally got an 04 545i, wish me luck. Haven't even laid eyes on it yet as being delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to spending the long weekend getting used to it. Had an E39 523i two cars back and been hanging out for another Beemer but with some grunt since. Keen to keep an eye on here for tips, advice, parts, drives/runs and anything social.
  20. Just curious on the collective view on this. There seems to be a big spread in pricing of late. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1266463941.htm Appears to be in pretty good condition..........price is up there!

  22. Hello, Has anyone any experiences / information on the potential issue of carbon build up in e39 M5 engines? In both the secondary air system and in general? I've been reading it can be a problem on US Spec LHD cars, but unsure as to Euro spec RHD's (ours). Also related to fuel quality and how often the big jandel is utilized... more nana driving accelerates carbon build up? Has this caused any problems here and solution?

  24. Hey guys I've recently acquired a 540i Msport (love it~). It currently has style 167's from an m5 on it which the previous owner got reconditioned and painted, they are in MINT condition with no curbing. I'm interested in swapping for another set of wheels that are either 18's or 17's with appropriate offset for an e39, I'm just not a huge fan of the way this wheel looks. Or $2000 ono. Specs are (to the best of my knowledge, I haven't had them off the car yet) as follows from the bmwstylewheels website: 19x8.5 +12 fronts with 245/35's with about 5mm tread - Achilles ATR sports 19x9.5 +28 rear with 275/30's with about 5mm tread aswell - Nexen N8000 Located in Murray's Bay over the shore, Auckland. If you have wheels with tyres that would be worth more than these send me a pm and I may be able to give enough cash your way to keep you happy, cheers.
  25. $30K ono with 205kms and looks to be in very tidy condition - and I must say I do like the 2-tone interior But not sure if anything but Avus blue would do. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1165130233.htm Still toying with the idea of picking up one of these in the near future - tho E60 M5s are the same price or less but really not sure which makes more sense ... Also pondering E55 (blasphemy!) as an alternative ... hmmm.
