  1. Quick one for you guys, I am trying to identify the plug on the left side of this Automatic transmission, picked it up from someone who did a manual conversion a number of years ago so no chance of tracing the original plug / car. It is for an M20 , going back into an E30 that was previously manual so no plug like it. What is it, do I need it? http://imgur.com/a/Wicss the car used to be a manual M20B25 which I stole for my coupe, ended up with this engine and this transmission.
  2. I'm after a facelift e30 rear bumper with mouldings. Any help would be great!
  3. Hi Guys, I was at a pick a part and i scored some nifty vinyl and cloth seats out of a Porsche 928! They need a bit of love in the form of restitching but ill get that done later. Theyre surprisingly very similar to the size of an E30 seat, which is great, and they look friggin' awesome too, and being manual operated seats i dont need to worry about wiring. But for now id really appreciate some help on getting them in. I realise that the seat belt is attached to the existing seat in my '85 sedan E30. I was wondering if i could grab the seat belt rail out of a coupe and install them? That'll take care of the seat belt issue. And then i can get some plates fabbed up for the seat rails which shouldnt be too difficult. So on to the back seats. For obvious reasons i didnt get the 928 rear seats. BUT, i was thinking of going E36 leather rear seat, which comes with the middle arm rest (im hoping it lines up with the ski pass in the E30. I plan to knock out the metal and put hinges and a lock on it so i can open and close it from inside the cabin). I have seen the E36 leather rear seats being retrofitted into an E30 on a forum, but for the life of me i cant find it and trust me i have searched. I want to know how this can be achieved, or at least be pointed in the right direction. I know it is possible, but i need help on how. I think the 928 seats once recovered in black will look super mega awesome balls with a e36 black leather rear seat. Ill try get some photos up ASAP. But seriously, any help would be much appreciated! So in advance, thanks guys!

after an e30 m tech 1 spoiler any colour not fussed cheers if you can help
  5. Have a set of genuine ACS rims. All in Bridgestone MY-02's (205/50) with 6mm tread all round. Painted black by previous owner, and all have a bit of curbing on the lips. Being black it's a bit harder to see most of it. Wanting 1k
  6. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-797648681.htm Looks like a nice example, too bad I can't even remotely afford it. It also doesn't have the gaudy white steering wheel like this one that has already been mentioned on here somewhere http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-787402177.htm
  7. Hey everyone. Im in need of an E30 expert. I have recently try to fix my m tech 2 facelift, I set half an hour aside on sunday arvo, but like every bmw job it turned into two hours and not yet completed. I have identified the problem I had with the front bumper. It was that the hooks that hold the bumper to the inner metal frame are broken and need replacing. This little hook is the only one that wasn't broken out of 5. So I need to remove the other ones, but to do this I think I have to remove the middle piece of the bumper, but how I do this is where im stuck. There are two large start bolts on the bottom of the middle piece that I suspect is where you undo it and it will just slide out but im hoping someone can comfirm this or point me in the right direction of how to do this. Cheers
  8. Hi Guys Have a small issue with my 1990 325i Sedan. From the drivers door, everything unlocks/locks fine (except for the fuel flap, but I know I need to replace that actuator) However from the boot, I am unable to lock/unlock my drivers door. Every other door unlocks fine though. -So if all the doors are unlocked, and I try to lock from the boot, all the locks (excluding the drivers) lock, then because the drivers door is still unlocked they go back to being unlocked. -If all the doors are unlocked, and I try to unlock from the boot, passengers and rear doors unlock but drivers door stays locked. Any ideas? I'm thinking perhaps the drivers solenoid isn't too flash. Thanks Nick
  9. Hi guys, I am looking for some 15" 4x100 Basketweave's, a Rear spoiler, and a front "is" lip for my convertible E30. Cheers, Matt
  10. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-780410724.htm I have never seen anything like it. It looks a bit odd in beige though

    E30 318i Coupe

1990 E30 318i Coupe WOF till December 25th 2014 Rego just expired Thought I’d post this up on here before putting up on Tardme. 1.8 M40b18 Odo shows 164k’s, however it has stopped about a year and a half ago, so actual will be higher, but not by more than around 5-7k. It has the usual tappet noise but otherwise runs well. Drinks a frugal amount of oil. Had recent replacement gearbox mounts and 1 engine mount. Highlight of this car is the Genuine Alpina 16” wheels with Yokohama tyres. The fronts are alright, the rears are getting low but still above legal minimum. No centre caps, however the wheels are in great condition without curbing or scratches. The suspension has been overhauled with New King Springs [super low] and New KYB shocks. This does not sit too low on this suspension, as seen in the pics, but it does a great job of holding the car nicely and is great for the road. New bushes were installed at the time meaning it handles much better than the boat it was before. Link to the build thread here The interior is in poor to excellent condition - meaning some parts are excellent e.g. the rears seats and trim, and some are poor like the front seats - the front seats are original but have the fabric blown out, especially on the driver’s side. The rest of the interior is fine/ excellent. Dash has a few cracks. Light controls moved to roof console - airplane styles - missing trim under dash on RHS of steering wheel. The exterior has a few marks, and the area around the RHS boot needs painting. It was repaired [rust] and is still in primer/sealer photos of repair can be supplied. There is also a small patch near the aerial in the same condition. The rear bumper is cracked, however a non-damaged spare can be included. The front bumper has already been swapped over but has not been painted. The side window trim has come off on one side and needs new clips to put it back in place. This was my project car but I’ve taken a job in Sydney so no longer have the capacity to complete it. I’m not asking too much as I realise that it is in an incomplete/slightly dirty unfinished condition, however most of this work is superficial and with a bit of TLC this car could come up nicely. VERY road worthy and just passed a VTNZ WoF. Asking $1500 neg. as is. Call or text Richard 021 606 703 who is selling on my behalf so any questions about history - PM me here as he is only handling the sale/inspections.
  12. In need of a e30 pedal setup for a manual conversion. have d-shaft and gearbox just need everything else.. I have an e34 manual pedal box id be willing to swap for this setup Cheers Ace
  13. Over working on my car and not really in a position to keep taking it to pieces which is a real shame. It has only recently become apparent to me how much I just need to have a cheap run about instead of using my project car as a means to get from A to B so hence why I am seriously but reluctantly going to try to sell this. I have spent some hours on it so I wouldn't be happy with just giving it away so if I don't get the right price I will just hold on to it and probably park it up somewhere until I can be bothered to take the project back on and get it really nice, that may be some time though. I thought I might have a couple of decent pictures of it lying around but only this at the moment: The body work is pretty good although there are a few scratches here and there, the paint on the roof and the rear doors back has faded. It has a new engine with 132,xxx Kms on it. Radiator is new Engine oil recently done Brake rotors have been resurfaced Power steering fluid Steering bushing replaced New Brake fluid New gear box oil converted to manual (Getrag 240) Crackless dash in great condition. Battery retro fit relocated to boot 2 sets of wheels, tires. Lowered rear suspension and camber (untastefully low, not done by me. Not sure about the front) Sub, amp, 6x9's and head unit I will try and get some better pictures and some more information if anyone on here is actually interested. I thought I would start on bimmersport as I have the old engine and some spare parts I wouldn't mind getting rid of with the car if it does sell. So an enthusiast might be after the whole lot who knows. Anyway cheers.
  14. Anyone interested in a new project? This engine has a suspected blown head gasket. The cooling system is becoming over-pressurised; but the radiator, water pump and thermostat are all good. The car has not overheated, and is still driving beautifully. Aside from this engine issue, the car is in great condition. There is a spot of rust inside one of the rear door surrounds, but aside from this the body is rust-free and in excellent condition. The interior is good, although the driver's seat is getting pretty worn. The wagon is an auto, it reads 238000km on the clock, is WoF'd until November and rego'd til April 2015. I have owned the car for 9 years, and have loved it. It is a really great car to drive. I have kept it well maintained and am sad to see it go - but I need a bigger car (and have bought one already), and I am not up for the repair mission this wagon needs. I have taken the stereo out (for the new wagon), but have included the Panasonic stereo (which I took out of the new wagon). I am trying for $2000ono. Car is based in Grey Lynn, Auckland. 15. Recently became the proud new owner of a particular brilliantrot e30 e318is (+turbo). When I bought it, the diff was making noise, the clutch was (and still is) slipping due to a cheap replacement, the short shift lever was grinding on the driveshaft and it failed a warrant due to the missing highbeam. I've since fixed (or had fixed) all but the clutch and just on the hunt for a decent road clutch that'll take the power it's putting out. I believe the motor was done by Kayne Barrie (or one of his apprentices) in '03 and has been through a few owners in and around Auckland. Here for the knowledge and the know-how that graces these forums and hopefully attend a few meets. Sorry for the shitty quality I-phone photos.
  16. does anyone know if a getrag 260 off an M20 will just bolt straight onto a M40? and if so, are the splines on the clutch plate the same?
  17. Looking for a complete sports black leather interior for an e30 coupe. Cheers
  18. Looking for 2 interior components for my E30: * Under dash panel for the drivers side * An unmolested rear parcel tray/shelf I am also looking for a rear exhaust section (M20, twin pipe).
  19. Wanting to buy a full manual conversion for a E30 325i m20b25 after a conversion with getrag 260 but will consider getrag 240.
  20. Hi Guys, I've got a pair of spotlight blanks for a facelift E30. They're in good condition and are in Atlantisblau , they just need a clean. These fill up the ugly gap-toothed holes in the valance and are a great alternative to wiring in spots. Think I paid $65 for them, so $50 takes them away. I can post to where ever at the buyers expense. PM me for details Cheers
  21. I'm getting rid of some of the parts I've accumulated as I'm living in Aussie now and can't keep the E30. So I've got a leather ///M Sport gear gaiter for sale. Its got the 3 stripes rather than just coloured stitching. Think I paid $20 for it, so $10 takes it. Pics below:
  22. As the title says, I've got a brand new, totally unused passenger side tie rod end for an E30. Unfortunately you can't see the part number, but I'm 99% sure this is the LH side as I replaced the RH side. Unless they are both exactly the same in which case ignore my ramblings. Say $10 Pics below:
  23. My beautiful 325i for sale about two months ago did a full service at BM Workshop. Had the oil sump replaced, cambelt changed and a new computer also put in. Car has been covered for all of my ownership and the previous owner was an elderly man who also kept in the garage. The engine is super clean as the first owner got it from SA and completely brought it to almost new condition. The car is a manual and it flies with the 6 cylinder engine. Full leather interior. Come take a look and a test drive if you have proof of funds. Looking for 7000.
  24. Hey everyone, just joined and i was told you have to post a photo of your car. So here is my pride and joy. It is my first car and I have the mind set of never selling my car, it is a 325i motorsport.
